yes, at first i thought it was his niece (guardians - Klaus, violet, and sunny, born from kit snicket), but then in the beatrice letters i said he wanted to marry her, and i thought that couldn't have been right :P

It's been years since I read those books. I can't really remember much... but I can recall never understanding who 'Beatrice' was. My brain kept on telling me that it's probably the author's wife/lover/etc. and he's dedicating the books to her in real life.
