Well, first take it as kind of a compliment that he likes you...no offence because I don't know you. Also, if he's a nice guy then give him a chance. آپ must have known him for a while so آپ should know how his personality is. If he was never a disgusting jerk then chances are he won't become one. And if he does, there are plenty of other guys out there. آپ wont' make a fool of yourself, everyone has a situation like this [well, I have at least] and they get through it fine. I think that آپ should give him a chance. Just because he's a football player doesn't mean that he's a jerk, if he has liked آپ for years then he'd probably be really sweet to you.
You've got to take chances in life, some pay off.

Don't make a fool of yourself سے طرف کی having a friend ask him for you... for emample I have this friend that likes آپ she's nice and cute but she's too shy to ask آپ .

it was like that once for me even kno he is like jurkish just be your self even if your freinds dont like him just say are آپ guys still my freinds if they say yes آپ can like him but if they say no then wait ..... mabey he will be better یا nicer
