I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Andy Black at Newcastle یونیورسٹی in Newcastle, UK on 11-MAY-2016 - National Rock Review
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Andy Black spreads his wings both creatively and artistically with his new solo project.
The Black Veil Brides frontman released his debut solo album
earlier this month and is currently in the UK in promoting his latest offering. Tonight Black returns to the North East of England for the first time since 2014, but this time without his Black Veil Brides brothers. A lot of the band’s fans are out in force to take this rare opportunity to see Andy Black up close and personal.
As Black takes to the stage, he is joined onstage by his touring band of Josh on guitars/keys and Bo on drums. Opening the show with “Stay Alive” and “Ribcage,” tonight marks the second night of the UK tour, and obviously centers around Andy’s new album. This show also gives Andy the freedom to perform tracks from artists which inspired him. These include “Dancing With Myself” by Billy Idol and “Time To Waste” by Alkaline Trio, who Black sights as a major influence.
Andy’s writing on his new album is a lot more personal than that of his work with Black Veil Brides. He has channeled so much of himself into his songwriting particularly with heartfelt numbers like “Beautiful Pain,” a track about the former BVB’s guitar tech Chris who had wanted to be part of Andy’s solo project but very tragically passed away recently. Only a few weeks ago Andy Black got married and tonight he shares with the audience a beautiful track titled “Paint It Black” which he wrote about his new wife.
“Put The Gun Down” really stands out in the set, and has a bit of a David Bowie-esque feel to it. As the fans would want and expect there is room for a Black Veil Brides number in the set, with “Saviour” getting an airing tonight. The audience hangs on every word.
Andy Black’s anthemic 2014 single “They Don’t Need To Understand” closes out the main set, leaving the audience wanting more. Screams and chants of “Andy, Andy, Andy” reverberate around the room from the singer’s eager fans. But he’s not done yet, as the short but sweet show is brought to a close with Black’s high energy, synth pop track “We Don’t Have To Dance.”
Tonight the Black Veil Brides frontman shows off a side of him which we didn’t know exists, he proves that he has a lot more to offer than what his have come to know and love over the years. There is a lot more to Andy Black than meets the eye.
