No one under 15-16 should watch it. i was 15 when i watched it(i was turning 16 that year anyway) it's a great anime and there's more to the story line then just gore.

read the manga as well, different ending to the anime

The anime is excellent but trust me when I say the manga is much better, it had a far better ending and some really epic and emotional moments (the anime stopped early and didn't follow the manga completely). I would suggest watching the anime first to see what you think of the series and then decide if you want to read the manga.

If you're not a fan of violence this anime is really not for you. It contains a very high level of violence and blood spilling. They rip out arms and legs in this anime and shows what's inside. Also it contains sexual content. It's actually N-18 anime.

I, on the other hand, loved it. Even though I'm 15. It was very touching and very well made.

Think wisely before watching it. Watch the trailer first of course. If it interests you, you can try it out. :)

i would suggest only over 16 should watch it im only 12 i loved it but im not gunna recomend it to my friends

it's a great Anime. *^* I watched it when I was 12 & I loved it. :'D and I don't care about the violent parts. xD
