I'm guessing it's something to do with her advising him not to be an ass and he doesn't heed her advice. I'm probably wrong, though.

K - I'm thinking that also because it would be totally out of character for Arthur to reject Gwen based on the fact that she is the daughter of a blacksmith. (Something Argy must be the one saying that to Arthur) Arthur knew that well before he fall in love with her.

In addition, all his knights are not of noble birth so for Arthur to do a 180 on Gwen wouldn't make any sense. I'm thinking Arthur's action with the invading king is what disappoints Gwen and therefore breaks her heart.

The final battle comes down to just two people: I believe that is Merlin and Morgana.

All that "you will be a great king stuff" she really believed would be very disappointing. Arthur would never reject her for that "black smith" garbage from Sir Aggravating...

Linda, I believe you are very close to the mark of what is going to go down.

I'm thinking that too. Even if Uncle Aggy does say that, I feel certain Arthur wouldn't do a turnabout like that. It probably does have something to do with his actions as king and she's heartbroken over it. I wasn't sure if this would be a crisis for their relationship, but I suppose it could. This should be so interesting. I can't wait.

Okay. Freaking out, but then I remembered: they will have to make up. And (hopefully) we will get to watch.

I know it will work out. I am just anti-angst. I'm not normally so idealistic, but it's unfair of them to give us so little Arwen and then have him stomp on her heart like this. I know it will be good in the end; it's just the journey that worries me.

Very good point Kim. I do agree. We have in effect had nothing of ARWen being that the editors saw fit to remove their scenes and so the first intro is angst? Even brilliant angst to be sure but still. Understand entirely.

I feel the same way as you do, Kim. I wanted some fluff before we got to the angst but I guess that's not going to happen. I thought all I had to worry about this season with regards to Arwen was Lancelot but it seems that I have to worry about uncle Aggy, Morgana and Arthur being an ass. I love that boy, I really do, but I will be cursing a stream at him if he stomps all over Gwen's heart.

Me too. My heart stopped when I read it. Please don't let him say that to Gwen with regards to their relationship.
