Looking for something to broaden my imagination.

The His Dark Materials trilogy was really good. (Golden Compass is the first.) If آپ haven't read them, those are the ones about the girl who's traveling in تلاش of a kidnapped friend. I loved it so much because of the religious aspect of it, and the world that was so creative.

There's this book called The Little Prince. I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for, considering it's مزید of a children's book, but it's the most original story I have ever read. It probably won't take آپ long to get through, but I absolutely loved it. It's "memorable," but not a "dark, exotic fantasy." I think آپ should give it a chance.

Okay, I have a ton of کتابیں that are good intellectual reads. Sherlock Holmes, The Beekeeper's Apprentice, and Ender's Game. I loved the last because of the whole view on humans... Life of Pi was also pretty good, but none of these here are what آپ sound like آپ want. I dunno.

آپ might wanna try Graceling too. I haven't actually read that one, but a few people have recommended it to me.

i strongly recommend the his dark materials trilogy too. also, the inkworld series سے طرف کی cornelia funke (the first one is inkheart) east سے طرف کی edith patteau, the چھری of never letting go سے طرف کی patrick ness, and if your into fantasy i would say آپ should read eragon (its not my usual style but its a great book) hope i helped :)
