ive only seen some angel episodes but buffy still seems way better

Angel is darker, and there's not a single character I dislike. While Buffy was obviously my first love, I love the dark humor on angel, and the themes, a whole lot better than Buffy in the later seasons. Buffy became too angsty for me, and Buffy herself turned into a character I wasn't too fond of. While Angel was dark, with its own angst, it still had time for lighthearted episodes (like Smile Time) which made it fantastic. Buffy went down hill after season five, while Angel stayed strong until the end.

Angel was awesome (except for the first season). However, Buffy was the original and will always be my favorite.

Really difficult cos they are of comporable quality but Buffy lasted longer.

Buffy was awesome I watched both but the amount of characters I love in Buffy makes me have to say it. Plus I never really liked Angel (the character)

Seasons 1, 2 & 5 are brilliant, 5 being the pinnacle for me. 3 & 4 aren't as strong but still ok. I just think Angel might be more of a lads show, it's darker and the fight scenes are almost always excellent. Love Buffy, especially earlier on but Season 5 of Angel just sealed it for me Power Play and Not Fade Away were just too good. Plus...puppets, how awesome was that!

that is SO not fair! i LOVE them both! but i guess id have to say buffy just cuz it has buffy, angel, and spike. although i really like cordy in angel. also, im naming my son conner after angels son when i have a son.

well they both have spike but buffy has more of him. idk...i stopped liking angel so much once he had his own show. buffy too i don't really like as a person but, like i said, spike :)

Buffy is the best, but ANGEL is like awesome, i love them both :)

I love the Earlier seasons of Buffy, with Angel&Cordelia.

As much as i love Angel (it is after all my second best show), Btvs is a million years ahead!

Angel, which is a little odd, because I never liked Angel in BTVS(except for when he was Angelus) I love Buffy, but Angel just appeals to me more.

I cannot choose it all depends on what I feel like watching. They are both equally good in my eyes.

I didn't like the Angel show at all!!!!!! It just didn't have it, and him and Cordelia falling in love? AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Wtff was that? No, bad! Joss Whedon ruined my show! He may have created it, but he also ruined it. He never got Buffy, and Angel back together, and was very dis-respectful to how much that relationship meant to it's viewers. He closed the door on them, and I will never forgive him for it! Angel, and Cordelia??????????? AH!

haven't started Angel yet. In the middle of season 4 of Buffy right now...

Seriously, Angel was boring as hell. I liked it, but it was nothing compared to Buffy.

hard to say. i like some parts of each more than the other (if that makes sence :/ ), but i have to say, angel S5 was my favorite!! followed by buffy S2 and 4 (especially with Spike!!)

I liked ATS initially but then Cangel happened. I think there's more of BTVS that I like.
