I was thinking of this while watching the other دن the Nostalgia Critic's review of the سوان, ہنس Princess, and how critical and overly nitpicky he was in general towards this movie...
And that made me think how almost all non-Disney فلمیں are treated in this way (of course, there are a few notable exceptions as the Studio Ghibli films and the Dreamworks ones), that audiences feel the need that if they are animated فلمیں which aren't Disney, they must be held in an impossibly high standard and they must please every demand of the audience.
Why is that? Why is it that any animated non-Disney movie must be held to a pretentious standard? Why can't فلمیں just be themselves and relax, if they want to be fairy tale musicals they can be, not every movie needs to be as "dramatic" as Secret of Nimh یا the Prince of Egypt. (some of the few animated non-Disney films that the critics praise for once).
I don't get it. If Disney repeats the same cliches, for many people it's all fine and dandy, but these فلمیں must only be about dramatic and pretentious content in order to be appreciated.
