Why is hand-drawn اندازی حرکت and stop-motion اندازی حرکت dead?

How come people have lost interest in hand-drawn اندازی حرکت and stop-motion animation? John Lasseter has always کہا that Story is the most important part of a film; not its art form.
But everybody in America is too blind to see that. I also think it is stupid that people begged and begged for Disney to give them a hand-drawn animated movie and when Disney did, they blew Disney off! Instead of going to see the Princess and the Frog, they all went to see Avatar یا worse, Alvin and the Chipmunks: the squekquel. Instead of going to see Winnie the Pooh, they all went to see Harry Potter یا worse, the Smurfs.
What can we do to make hand-drawn اندازی حرکت and stop-motion اندازی حرکت really attractive?

I think it's just a phase. All this new technology is coming out to make a "better" movie, and people are buying into it. The smurfs and alvin & the chicmunks are shallow, plotless فلمیں that could never measure up to The Lion King یا Beauty & The Beast. It's sad, because those are the فلمیں with morals and meaning, and hopefully people will eventually see that and come back to the classic animation. You're completely right that the STORY is the most important part of the film. Like I absolutely love the hunchback of notre dame, its an incredible story, and it'd be an incredible story no matter what type of اندازی حرکت it was done in. I think Disney should definitely return to it's routes, and possibly recruit some A-listers to voice the parts... which would definitely increase the popularity. If they could just produce a couple incredible فلمیں close together (which, I know, is not easy) I believe faith would be restored in 2D animation.

People nowadays are not smart یا understanding enough to comprehend deep, emotional storyline and hence they require 3D motion and special effects to satisfy their small capacity. I actually think that snow white and the seven dwarfs had one of the best animations of the disney movies.
