Elena already tried to sacrifice herself for everyone, so I don't even doubt that she would give up her life in a heartbeat if Bonnie was in danger.

Bonnie and Elena are one in the same when it comes to that. They love each other.

no elena is very selfish. when bonnie ask elena would she sacrifice herself for her she did even't answer her because the answer would be a HELL NO! that why.

I think the reason Elena hesitated in answering Bonnie was because she was trying to convince Bonnie NOT to sacrifice herself, and she didn't want to give her answer because she knew that she would do the same thing for Bonnie if the situations were reversed.

Elena annoys me at times in the show, but I 100% think that she would have sacrificed herself to save Bonnie.

Elena is by no means my fave character..she really bugs me sometimes and the fact that she's a main charater means there's little relief from her! but she's pretty self sacrificing. i think she loves Bonnie..even if she doesn't always show it.

She would definitely have sacrificed her life to save Bonnie. I think she has tried to so many times already that it's practically proof of that.

Elena is pretty selfish in my opinion when it really comes down to it, she might say that she would give her life up for Bonnie but in the end decide she wanted to be around for Stefan and the others and not do it. Thats just my take.

I don't know! Elena appears selfish about a lot of things but she did try and sacrifice herself to keep everyone else safe! It annoys me how she can be all heroic but she wouldn't let Bonnie! Of course she dosne't want Bonnie to die but Bonnie wouldn't have wanted her to die either!
