Now before all of u go crazy on me i'm not saying that i don't like the orginal "I love you scene" 2x08 because I'm in love with that scene
I'm just saying it was really a waste of time and falls hope to show us DE fans that Elena remembered that,they could have just cut it out and just joined it together with that scene when Elena told Damon she remembers everything because it clearly had NO effect on her what so ever, even when was remembering her face didn't show in sign of bring greatfull or sad or any effect at all it just showed that she was surprised by it and that's a normal reaction if u learned/found out something u forgot

I'm saying it's useless, because: A) it didn't show us how Elena felt about Damon (which I'm guessing was the whole point), B) it didn't effect Elena's feelings at all,it didn't move her or made her realize or have a mire clearer about how she feels about Damon, C) she just ignoring it and acting like it never happned

So really what's the point of showing us that scene in the first place??? Just get our hopes up again and have them crushed all over for 100+ time??

Kind of.. I mean, I wish she showed a bit more emotion. I mean come on. -I- cry every time I watch that scene, and he's not saying it to me. But I wouldn't say it was totally pointless.

If they didn't show it at all I would've been pissed. Like I am they skipped her remembering they met first.

I don't think it was pointless. I actually saw the emotions racing through her mind, I just thought she was most of all surprised and not believing what she saw. She didn't know what ti do with it, so she pushed it. away and tried to forget it ever happend. But it did stir up some feelings. I have a feeling seringen all this had something to do with Damons head popping up when she had a very intimate moment with Stefan.
But that's just what I think, but who tells me that's the truth?
I'd say lets have a very serious conversation with the writers ;).

If they showed it to us, then it's not useless. I think it will be important as the story progresses. Plus I don't agree Elena showed no emotions: she was clearly impressed by it. You couldn't expect her to run to Damon and tell him she was wrong and doesn't want Stefan anymore, right?

No ofcourse not but they she told him I remeber everything was so cold, abd Damon asked her if it would have made a diffrence and she just said nothing then start blahbling about how she made her choice and if he wants to he angry at anyone it should be her,she thought he was mad/angry because she choice "saint" fuckibg Stefan

It was fan service. It meant shit to Elena, and even JP said these memories wouldn't change anything. What bullshit, what girl wouldn't have at least shown more gratitude?

There was NO emotion! I was so excited for this scene then when I saw it I was completely disappointed. From watching season 3 you could clearly see Elena falling for Damon, and even though she picked Stefan should would have felt something when Damon said "I love you."

I don't think any of DE's scenes are useless. It's part of the building process of DE.

I liked the remembering scene but it could have been so much better!!! I wish it had showed so much more emotion on her face.
