I'd say under control was their best friendship episode. and we had the scene with teddy and he was lying on her bed! and he gave her a rose!
But the porch scene in founder's day is still one of the best DE scenes to date...even if it wasn't her, what he said and did was meant for her.
So I call a tie on this one.

I loved the bedroom scene& the rose scene, but this was Epic. He confessed his feelings thinking Katherine was Elena. He finally completely showed his sweet/caring/good side. I mean the only way it could have been better would have been if it was really Elena. <3

I thought this episode was so cute !

Loved this episode for them; the way Damon looked at Elena on Founder's Day, the talk about their "friendship" and of course that beautiful porch scene (Damon's speech was amazing as was the kiss because he thought he was kissing Elena). But I did really like the bedroom scene from 1x18 and when Damon gave her the rose.

the best is actually the sacrifice but this one was amazing.
