even though he wants to SO BAD! i dont want him to! he will lose his personality that he has as a vamp. i would rather him stay a vamp and TRY to gain humanity like he is trying to now. I mean what difference does it make if he turns human....elena will love him no matter what.. or at least if she really loved him she wouldnt care whether he was human or vampire.
and also..i 100% doubt they will turn him and its not possilbe.

As soon as I saw that final scene in The Descent I instantly thought "what if the writers make it happen?" It was such a big, unexpected statement from Damon. The show follows the books very loosely, so what if they somehow turn him (like it could be Klaus' doing?) and although he struggles, he embraces it? Which draws Elena to him far quicker, and puts Stelena on the rocks because obviously Stefan would want that gift of humanity?

Soooo many possibilities, which ding! ding! ding! Would make for a shocking finale to season 2 and loads of questions and plot lines for season 3.

Part of me finds it appealing. But then again, I just love Damon for who he is <3

yeahh! like in the books when they made him human i was like UM>>>wtf! it was like an in ur face shocker!!but its the books...and elena/damon's relationship in the book is much closer (intamitly) then the show so for the books im ok with it..but the show...nahh...id rather at the end of the series elena turn vamp to be with one of the brothers AKA DAMON!!!!

I think after everything he's done, after every person he's killed being human would be difficult. It wouldn't be all sunshine and roses. His guilt would go into hyperdrive, and he might go a taaad insane. It would be interesting especially with Damon and Elena's dynamic, and how she would help him with such a huge transformation.

I think it would be a brilliant twist, if Elena was the one that actually turned Damon (at the end of the series, and she eventually becomes a vampire..cause lets face it..it's gonna happen)

I Actually Would Like A Dream About Him Human For A Episode. Like Rose. But I'd Say Dream Bcoz Hes Always Never Gonna Be Human!

It would be an interesting turn, but I would hope they turn him back, unless they make Damon & Elena live old together as humans.. aww.. adorable!! :D

Damon wld not be as awesome as how he is a vampire. Though its possible tat he might turn human, but it maybe for a short time and then he ll turn into a vampire again

I don't think I'd like to see that play out in the series because his appeal is his personality as a vampire. He makes one bad ass, cool vampire and my favorite character.

I think that it would be cool. But i don't know cause in the books once he is human he hates it. He wants to become a vampire again. So it is up to the writers.
