I could tell by the expression on your face that you did not think you were going to win and it made it even sweeter to see your reaction.

To say you will be a tough act to follow on that show is a gross understatement. As a writer I also want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your word nerd confession. It took guts to go against the common feeling that it isn't hip for a rocker to be so intelligent. (Simon was dead wrong on that one). Hopefully, you have shown a lot of kids that being bright and curious about vocabulary is not only hip, but attractive. Chicks dig smart guys after all!

I recorded every season 7 american idol show. I have watched it so many times it's crazy but I am always blown away by your wonderful presence and talent.
