Disney Princess Article: What exactly are the Disney Princesses?

آپ know, after a couple of years of loving Disney princesses and learning to love for them and even wish tht was my life, i have figured out a couple of things.
To my knowing ther is only 10 official princesses yet I beg to differ.
Snow White
Cinderella
Aurora
Belle
Ariel
Jasmine
Mulan
Pochantos
Tiana
Rupunzal
See, wht i think an offical princess is well.... well this is the definition of one
daughter of a king, یا marries a son of a king
except they use monarch instead but still. So therefore 2 of those people on the فہرست are actual not real princesses. The two would be Mulan and Pochantos
The rest make much مزید since
Snow White is a princess plus marrys a prince
Cinderella marrys a prince
Aurora is a princess and marrys a prince
Belle marrys a prince
Ariel is a princess and marrys a prince

MULAN SHOULDNT BE ONE
POCHANTOS SHOULD BE ON
Tiana marrys a prince
Rupanzal is a princesses
So therfore ther is only supposed to be 8 official princesses in my opinion.
Then theres some of those ladies tht oftenly get confused as princesses when really theyre not a couple examples are maybe Esmerelda, Megara, Alice, Tinkerbell, Jane
Okay now lets start with the ones that are out of ur head tht u think theyre princesses.... Jane.... she ends up with Tarzan who is an ape man unless somehow Jane is a princess یا tarzan has royal blood somewher down the line then she is defintly NOT a princess. Then theres Alice. First of all she's way under age, and wher the heck does it say her father یا mother are in royal blood? i mean in the alice in wonderland سے طرف کی Tim برٹن i guess shes close to marrying someone with a lot of money but in the original.... I DONT THINK SO!
Then theres one مزید tht آپ would be out of your head to think shes a princess. This character is Tinkerbell. She's not even human!!!!!!!! Okay yes, Ariel isn't human yet, she becomes human. ANyways in Peter Pan in the fairy world they never ever mention Princesses.
Now, how I think that people could think that Esmerelda is a princess is that she's REALLY pretty and plus she gets the good looking guy in the end.... even though he isn't a prince.
Then I really understand how people could get Megara یا "Meg" mixed up because آپ are supposed to asume that she marrys Hercules who is half god so speaking in which people may consider him as a prince therfor making Meg the princess.
And btw how Mulan isn't a princess in my case is that well, the dude she marrys isn't a prince, yet he is a general of the war, but still!!!!!!! She also has the bravery and strength and kidness and self-sacrafice tht a princess may have.
With Pochantos well I'm not sure what disney was thinking when they did that.
There's also one مزید Princess yet she's not really one yet she is okay let me get on to the point. In Peter Pan there is Princess Tigerlilly but she is not that well known to Disney, and plus she is under age so......

Okay, here are my rules to be a Disney Princess
آپ have to be 19 of years یا older (makin a few exceptions)
آپ have to have royal blood somewhere in your family یا marry into royal blood
آپ have to be kind
آپ have to be a role model

I know theyre a little weird but something like that

Pink_Love I agree with what you say about a lot of characters not being princesses. I agree that I dont see how Mulan is one but I dont know much about her. However Pocahontas is a princess in her village. Her father was the chief of his tribe. She is a Native American Princess. Though it may not be politically correct to call the native american daughters of the chiefs princesses, that is what they were to their tribes. Princesses. So I consider her a Princess.

pretty_angel92 i still don't understand why pocahontas can be considered a princess, but mulan not. they never specifie that she's a princess...yes, she's the daughter of a chief. but so what? fa zhou is also a really important and respected man and you don't see mulan as a princess...pocahontas isn't different. tiger lily is the only native american princess. sorry, but that's how i see it

Pink_Love @pretty_angel How is tiger Lily a native american princess but not Poca? They have the same status as each other. You can not disrespect a culture. If Disney did not make Poca an official princess then people especially Native Americans would have been really upset. Disney will not disrespect the Native American culture.

Silversinfonia I'd say the only one who isn't truly a princess is Mulan (though personally I'm extremely glad that she's in the official lineup cos she's my favourite Disney heroine ever). Pocahontas IS a princess among the native Americans even if that's not the title they give her. In peter pan tiger lily is referred to as a princess so that probably means that the daughter of the chief is as good as one. Still if pure royalty is the only criteria used to decide on the official lineup you'd have to include people like eilonwy and kida who are not from popular movies which wouldn't be good for the franchise. Meg I think can actually be considered a princess because Hercules is a prince. Many people say he gave up his godliness so he shouldn't be considered one, but he is nevertheless the son of Zeus. It'd be like saying Ariel is no longer considered a princess since she gave up her...merperson-ness?

11: Beauty and The Beast

This movie, I simply found boring. It reminds me of most فلمیں where a girl looks inside of the man and he saves her. The end. To me, it was a very cliche modern fairy tale, one I'd probably make up as a child to tell an adult. I feel like Beauty and The Beast scores better with a younger audience than an older one, since it teaches good moral values that maybe little one's don't know but we do.
Music: I found the موسیقی poorly written and rushed. Even though I do like the chorus in the song Belle a lot,...

Hi! I'm @arendelle, aka Ariana, and this is my get to know me article.

I'm a huge پرستار of Disney/Broadway, without a doubt. I'm going to see Wicked (sometime in early December, tickets aren't on sale until September), and Phantom of the Opera (January 11th). The first ever play I saw was Beauty And The Beast, and I got to meet Belle. (I was really excited when I did meet her as a child).

Ever since I've been out of that tower and crowned princess, I've dreamed of marrying Eugene. Well, I asked my parents about it, and they کہا I can marry him only if I get educated. I had servants look for colleges and private schools that I might be interested in. The one that I picked was Disney Academy. It had great classes and I heard it was a lot of fun.
