Hello, guys! I hope you've been having a good week! Again, I'm SO sorry I took incredibly long posting my last one! (Life getting in the way, certain members of my family having one birthday after another, including me, and the holidays are just afew examples. I also want to apologize about the delay on this one, too. Hopefully, this delay wasn't as long!) Now with مزید time on my hands, I'll likely be able to post this one sooner. Now, why don't we get on the thing, shall we? ;)

Today's مضمون will be about both versions of Cinderella.

The characters:

Cinderella:

One thing I admire about the original Cinderella is her confidence. She doesn't let the stress of her stepmother یا her stepsisters get to her. She's her own person no matter what. I felt the confidence was something the live-action Cinderella lacked, especially before the ball. She takes so much of the torment from those three to where she breaks. It took all my self control to not break my PC because I wanted to put my hand through the screen and beat the living hell out of them! Fuming aside, I know she was just trying to trying to keep that promise she made her mother before she passed on, but at the same time, I couldn't help but think *She would've also wanted آپ to stand up for youself.* and my دل sank for her every time they took a dig. Even a friend of hers asked why she still stayed there! Again, I know her دل was in the right place, but my view about that still stands. I have to say, though, I was impressed seeing how true they stayed to all the other characteristics of the original Cinderella. Both versions wore their hearts on their sleeves, they never took a single دن in their lives for granted no matter how bad it was, they held their heads high, and they stayed true to themselves. I loved seeing those qualities come out. Both versions are amazing.

Prince Charming:

If آپ ask me, I personally think we don't see the original Charming much. I could be wrong, and if I am, please feel free to let me know. From what I was able to gather, the original Charming wasn't boring, but he was just, if I may, plain. Compared to the live-action Charming, the original one didn't get as much screen time as him. The live-action Charming. I like how his story was increased. They, not only gave him مزید of a story, but I also liked how he and Cinderella met before the ball. I thought that was a neat twist. Speaking of the ball, I liked how they added how he couldn't stop thinking about her after he went hunting. I personally feel he was given, not only مزید screen time AND a story, but also مزید character development, in which I think the original Charming had very little of. I was very happy to see they added مزید of those three to the live-action Charming, and it was great to see them displayed.

Lady Tremaine:

Let me start off سے طرف کی saying the original version isn't NEAR as bad the live-action one! I'm not saying the original Tremaine wasn't as mean, but, she wasn't as brutal as the live-action one, either. The live-action one was just HORRIBLE! From the jealous streak she had towards Cinderella to the emotional jabs at Cinderella, she was about 15 times worse than the original Tremaine. The original Tremaine wasn't an angel سے طرف کی any means, but at least she didn't پار, صلیب any emotional lines with Cinderella یا make any heartbreaking jabs at her. Nonetheless, the original Tremaine, in my opinion, was a whole lot better than the live-action one. I knew the live-action Tremaine was going to be just as mean, but after seeing her own true colors, I don't give 5 craps about her at all! (Please excuse my rash actions. It's just every time I think about that, it makes my blood boil.) Let's not forget where she manipulated her way into royalty. THAT was a twist I didn't see coming.

Drizella and Anastasia:

Again, the original versions were snooty, and mean, but again, they were nowhere near as bad as the live-action ones. The live-action versions, like Tremaine, are terrible to Cinderella, and they're so full of themselves. The original versions are full of themselves, too, but that trait isn't as bad as it is in the live-action versions. Another thing I'd like to mention is how the live-action versions looked like twins. They looked so identical, I couldn't tell who was who! At least I could tell the original versions apart. They had different features like different hair color and different colored clothing. The live-action versions had the same hair color, and from my memory, I think the clothing was identical, too. I think the casting was kind of poor on that part.

The King:

I was impressed with how they increased his storyline in the live-action version. In the original version, it feels like he's obsessed with the idea of Charming marrying and having grandkids out of the whole thing. I know he wants Charming happy, and I know he also wants Charming to be successful when HE takes the throne, but one step at a time. (No, I'm not basing the idea of the ball.) Let's get back to the live-action version. I know he loves Charming with all his دل and soul, but trying to get Charming betrothed for money? That's alittle far fetched. I know he cares deeply about his kingdom, and I know he wants it to be successful when he goes, but still. I LOVED the change of دل he had when Cinderella told him how much Charming loved him. In fact, the most emotional part for me was when he and Charming had their دل to دل and him giving Charming his blessing to marry Cinderella before he got called higher. I'm literally getting emotional about that scene as I type this. So powerful!

The Grand Duke:

Now, I KNOW I'm not the only one who was blown away to see the live-action Duke as a villain! I mean, seriously! I did NOT see that coming! The original Duke was this lovable heroic sidekick, and for them to turn him into a villain was hard for me to digest. And the fact that he was willing to help Lady Tremaine manipulate her way into royalty was an all new low. I think it goes without saying the original version is ALOT better the live-action version سے طرف کی FAR. I mean, yeah, the original Duke had some moments, but he's still better than the live-action one. In fact, I think the captain should've been The Grand Duke all along if آپ ask me.

The Mice:

I was rather dissapointed the live-action mice didn't talk. What I DID like, though, was Cinderella considered them her friends. The original mice were already her دوستوں from the get-go. Hell, one of them even vents about how HE thinks Lady Tremaine and the stepsisters drive her ragged! I think what I like about the original mice is that they're مزید engaging and do everything to help out Cinderella. While I like they kept those traits with the live-action mice, I wish they could speak and be مزید engaging like the original are. I still liked how they stayed true to their friendship with Cinderella, though.

Fairy Godmother:

I thought I'd save the best for last, so, let's get right down to it. The original version is your typical sweet older lady who appears with a magic wand. She's loveable, kind, and a keeper of a دل of gold. While she appears to help Cinderella سے طرف کی magic, I like how the live-action version appears disguised as an old woman before revealing who she actually is. Another thing I'd like to add is I like how she also took on the occasional narrating role throughout the movie. (Now, I'm not sure, but, if the original version did that in the opening, please feel free to let me know.) One thing I wasn't expecting was for the live-action version to be ditzy. She makes a کدو, لوکی so big it blows up, forgets what she had been doing before revealing her real identity, and tries to think of something else to turn into the carriage before Cinderella suggests a کدو, لوکی into the carriage. (Yes, the one that exploded.) Personality traits aside, she's a younger woman with a white گاؤن, gown and her hair isn't all that white. In fact, her hair is actually kind of blonde if آپ think about it. I definitely thought that was a nice touch on their part. If آپ were to ask me which version is better, I honestly couldn't tell آپ because they're both wonderful. The live-action version might be ditzy, but she still has that same lovable trait as the original, which I absolutely admire.

The music:

I was also fairly dissapointed when I didn't hear the songs until the end of the live-action movie. But what I heard I liked. I liked how the live-action Cinderella sings Lavender's Blue near the end. Sweet Nightingale. While the original Cinderella's version wasn't all that bad, I HATED that one, and I'm actually glad it wasn't in the live-action movie. I don't know if it was just Drizella belting out the original version, but, I hated it, but those awful vocals on the original version made it obnoxious! Anyway, I liked how they stayed true to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo and A Dream Is A Wish Your دل Makes. I wish we could've heard those in the movie, especially Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo. That's my only small complaint there.

The setting:

In the original version, we see mainly Cinderella's house and the castle. What I liked about the live-action version is we also got to see the little town and the meadow where Cinderella and Charming meet. Not to mention some other country scenery we see in the beginning. While I have nothing against the original's setting, the live-action's setting has مزید variety, and it brings new vibes the original's didn't really have, and it makes the story feel مزید alive than before.

The story:

The original story is great, but I'm not gonna lie. The live-action story added some great twists and details. We got to meet Cinderella's parents, we got a glimpse into Cinderella's childhood, Cinderella and Charming actually met before the ball, they got to know each other during the ball, Cinderella got her happy ending سے طرف کی singing out of a window the mice were actually able to open, I mean, the فہرست goes on. The twists that surprised me were The Grand Duke becoming a villain and Lady Tremaine trying to manipulate her way into royalty, as stated earlier. Another twist I'd like to point out is the glass slipper. In the original version, The Grand Duke puts it on Cinderella, but in the live-action version, Charming does it. Not only that, but he also takes charge in the تلاش to find her, even if it meant disguising himself. One thing I want to point out out is Cinderella actually FORGIVES Lady Tremaine after all the hell Lady Tremaine put her through! (You'll have to forgive my rather rant-filled review about her.) On a lighter note, I love how at the end, I LOVED how the wedding felt like a royal wedding! Anyway, I think the original story AND the live-action story are wonderful. They stayed true all the while adding new twists and details as I mentioned before. They knocked this remake out of the park. In fact, I bet آپ Walt Disney himself would be proud.

مجموعی طور پر review:

The original: 10/10

The live-action: 10/10

I know I didn't mention Lucifer, but let's just say I forgot about him as I continued to write this. Speaking of, I'm sorry about making this all spaced out at certain points, especially toward the end! I've been under the weather lately, and I just couldn't really think of anything to say. Again, apologies in advance!

That's it for this article. My اگلے one will be on both versions of Mulan. (Let's see if I'm still mentally prepared for that one...)

Thanks for reading! Much love! <3

At long last, the long-awaited پسندیدہ فہرست I always mentioned but was too meticulous about writing and incredibly distracted from to actually finish! So sorry it took so long. I talk about things I dislike about some of the princesses, but keep in mind that I still love them all.

13. Belle:
Previous Position: 12

I respect Belle مزید now and even like her personality مزید after coming here. I just don’t care for her much یا really relate to her, aside from being a daydreamer and wanting adventure when I was younger. I don't think her personality is that inspiring یا original, which would be...

Lately, there has been some discussion on here about princesses and their personalities- specifically whether certain princesses have personalities یا whether they have sufficiently rounded personalities. I thought it would be a good idea to actually look at the personalities and the different dimensions to them to get a clearer picture of just how well-developed the princesses are as characters. This is not an مضمون about whether the princess is introverted یا extroverted یا personality type (I’ll leave that to LightningRed,) but the personality traits of the princesses. I will be looking...

I'm on a heroine kick, the female, not the drug. After doing that مضمون about Jane and Kida, I decided to make my own official line-up of Disney Heriones and rank them while I'm at it. So this is sort of a فہرست and sort of a plain article. Anyway, I kinda set afew rules for myself.
1.She has to be human, but even then the only big losses are Lady and Nala.
2.She can be any age.
3.She has to have some similarities to at least one of the official princesses.
4.Two can be from the same film.So let's get started.

10.Eilonwy
Counterpart: Aurora-long blonde hair, actually a princess
I watched her...

I've already written مضامین on my پسندیدہ princesses and action scenes, and now the countdow is about the "I want" songs. That's one of my پسندیدہ moments in all DP movies. جیسمین, یاسمین doesn't have any solo song, so I didn't include her in the countdown.

Please notice I considered the scenes as a whole, not only the song.

9. Snow White - "Someday my prince will come"
This song is short, and it doesn't help that it's showed in the middle in the movie - It doesn't add nothing about Snow White's personality. It also doesn't help that she sang it sitting on a chair, that forbidded the animation...

First of all, thanks to all of you, who voted in the picks! Here's the results for Prettiest Disney Princess Eyes as of May 2011!

10. MULAN
Overall people thought that her eyes are not big enough, and not as interesting as the eyes of the other princesses (whatever this means lol) Somehow the shape and the color are not vivid enough to make a lasting impression.

Darkshine said: "I think Mulan's eyes are very pretty"
KataraLover said: "They're beautiful!"

Here's the countdown of Fanpop's پسندیدہ princess movies.

HERE IS A HUGE BIG HUG AND THANK آپ TO CUTEDIANA AND PPGBELLE4 FOR HELPING ME PUT TOGETHER THESE RANKINGS!!
Also thank آپ to Cromulanfav for having many good quotes to use.

Instructions to reading the list, from AllegroGiocoso's article.

So basically here's how the process worked. I asked people that voted to rank their پسندیدہ Disney Princes, and they شدہ تبصرہ with their ranks (a total of twenty-five users took part). Like with the team articles, the ranks here are an average of the ranks of everyone that commented. A difference...
