These Mermaid Heroines made for tumblr, requested icons. But I thought I can share it here too.(Lottie is from a Princess movie XD )
Anyway, I liked make them, usually I work with Princesses so it was a refresh.
Lottie is probably my favorite from them, then Giselle and Jane ^^
Melody is a bonus(I needed 9 icons), I know she was a mermaid in the sequel but I never was a fan of her dirty red fin, so I changed it, it has the same color as her Grandfather, I think fitting her perfectly. And yes, Wendy is from the sequel, she is older.

These are all so incredibly beautiful. Wonderful job with the editing.

I like this one and Kida for the most. And I think Wendy's head a bit too small compared with her body.

Because I rarely see Kida, and I wish there was a Kida snowglobe...

Melody without her salmon tail? Well, you lost credibility there. These look great, it not that the hair for those underwater look stiff because their hair wouldn't be sitting still underwater. Giselle looks absolutely gorgeous as a mermaid!

@disneytobe The reason for that in this case is because it's just Ariel with black hair, a blue tail (Even though that's nor Melody's real tail color), different shells, and pink lips. A trap many fall into with doing an older Melody by just doing an Ariel clone.

@Sparklefairy375: I had the same feeling when I did her, I think her hair is too "small" compared to her body.
@KataraLover: "just Ariel with black hair" I hate to disappoint you smarty-pants, but I didn't use an Ariel screencap for that edit XD It's all Melody. And yes, Melody is pretty much an Ariel clone, but it's okay since that was the intent of the creators. Melody only has minor differences(thicker eyebrows, nature lips and only one strand of eyelash) in her features.

@tiffany88 Hmm... that's something I didn't notice. Interesting. However, the intent of the creators was to make her a perfect blend of both of her parents. Most people think she looks more like Eric than she does Ariel. Her eyebrows don't look as thick in your picture and I assumed it was Ariel with different coloring because last time I checked Melody didn't have a body that was developed yet because she was only twelve. Yes, I realize that there are very few mermaids her age with a shell bra, I know from personal experience of trying to make that work when I do Melody and Magnolia (my OC of a best friend for Melody), so I can't fault you for that.

Although, the clear biasness of not using her salmon color tail (Not dirty red, it maybe a shade of red, as well as a shade of pink and orange, but it's not dirty red) it made it harder to tell that it was her. Hell, had you not told me it was Melody because of that I never would've figured out it was Melody because it would be like changing Ariel's hair and tail because you didn't like the colors. I try not to let that biasness show when I do my edits. I might add that aside from hair color and eyebrows, Melody does have other qualities her father has in his appearance. She has his skin tone, her bangs are more messy like his (There are plenty of times he has one strand sticking out) than Ariel's so she likely has his hair texture as well, and it could be possible that her mother had pink lips (Then again, she's just a little girl, so I can't tell). If you had two pictures where she looked like her normal self and another where she had her mother's coloring, about 4/5 would say she looks more like Eric than Ariel.

Overall great job on these pictures. Personally, I don't think Wendy's head looks too small on the body. I think it was more that Athena has such a big chest and had her long thick hair out unlike Wendy that has her hair in a bun and normally has a more modest body as an adult.

No, Melody is indeed older on my picture, 15-16 at least.(re-draw her face after one of Melody's screencap, so she looks older) And I changed her fin color 'cause I thought it'd be nice seeing her with something different, plus it's Triton's color. None of his daughters have his tail color, so I think it'd be cute if his only grandchildren inherits it.(I've never liked her original color, just somehow doesn't fit,at least for me)

Hmm.... Funny that you did that because I ended up doing an edit of Melody with Ariel's exact colors and even her eyebrows just for a little experiment for a poll. I guess your poll caused us both to do something lol. I assume that despite that the picture you did just for me comes with the same rule of not using is as a personal icon or posting it on other sites and all that jazz. An understandable rule you have that I respect and will continue to should that be the case with this. Besides, I do make my own Melody pictures as you have probably figured out lol. I appreciate the gesture though.
