Harmless, but cheap at the same time. It makes me roll my eyes because it was clearly to appease the "Disney Princesses fall in love too quickly" brigade. Obviously I agree with the quote in real life, but in fairytales? it really doesn't matter if they get married within 3 hours or 3 years. it's fictional escapism.

Well, I wouldn't put it quite as harshly, but I wouldn't call it harmless either. It's Disney's new strategy, kind of acknowledging what nitpicky critics and zealous Anti-Disney feminist are complaining about to appease them. Sadly it actually works, but as a result Disney has replaced actual progression with lip-service.
