there's a Regal Cinemas where i live, and at the end of September, beginning of October they're playing Beauty and the Beast. but instead of the normal movie playing, the words to the songs will come up at the bottom of the screen, and everyone in the theater and sing along.

That's an... interesting idea to say the least.

The cinema in my town is pretty small and it's a crappy Odeon (DAMN YOU UCI FOR SELLING IT. YOU WERE AMAZING!) so it's unlikely that they'll even consider showing it. Not like many people want to sing in the cinema anyway. xD

There isn't a theater in my town and the ones that are doing it are about 20 to 30 minutes away from where I live.

@firegirl1515: Based on that, I'd say it's a US-only thing then. Heh, I can't imagine the British public jumping for joy at the prospect of spending £5 to watch BatB in the cinema when you can get it on DVD for like £2 and video for 20p.
