His singing part is not very prominent anyway, but also because his singing voice is grotesque. It doesn't even sound like him. D:

His voice isn't very good, and his song doesn't majorly effect the movie. The latter also goes for John Smith, but his voice is actually good.

The Something There song would just sound weird if it was just Belle singing IMO and it shows both of their changing feelings for each other. I'll Make A Man Out Of You is just too epic for Shang not to sing. Once Upon A Dream is the perfect duet. Aladdin sings too many songs to cut out his singing completely. Neutral about the Prince.

I don't even remember Naveen singing much, it's not very memorable for me. It was out of him, Flynn, John Smith and Prince Charming for me. It wouldn't affect much if their singing wasn't there.

I just don't like his voice that much.

agreed with @Straggy, the main reason to me for him to not sing is that his voice doesn't suit him.

None I mean I wouldnt mind if any of them didnt sing but I think its really cute when they sing
