I think Mine, Mine, Mine is a good song, especially John Smith's part.

I agree with disneyprince. It really does set up the contrast between Ratcliffe, who just wants...everything in sight (i.e. the gold) and John Smith, who just wants to do the right thing, who wants adventure. (I especially love the part where Pocahontas is listening to him sing, a la Jack and Sally in the graveyard in NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS. Okay, I know NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS is...slightly younger than POCAHONTAS, but you get my point)

Didn't like "Gaston" or "Poor Unfortunate Souls" at first, but they've grown on me overtime. "Poor Unfortunate Souls" is just awesome, and "Gaston" is just...hilarious. From Gaston losing his shit over a chess game, to "And every last inch of me's covered with hair!" (*suppressing obvious jokes*) to "I use antlers in all of my decorating!"...it's not a flashy villain song, true, but it's not supposed to be outwardly villainous like, say, "Be Prepared".

Also much love for "Savages", "The Mob Song", and "Friends on the Other Side". I'm one of the sad folk who hasn't seen TANGLED, so I can't judge regarding "Mother Knows Best", but like "Gaston", I don't think it's supposed to be outwardly villainous as much as subtly, poisonously villainous. *Prays she's making sense*
