The last round ended with a pretty decisive majority vote for Aurora but the majority of comments actually went to Ariel instead. Additionally, she had comments that had been building up for the last 4 rounds whereas Aurora had only been proposed for elimination the last 2 rounds. Furthermore, they had both been picked about even times throughout.

Feel free to comment about who you think should stay in the countdown, as well as be eliminated (including Pocahontas). It might sway a vote. :)

Aurora's voice is incredibly ethereal and very talented. I am usually not a fan of operatic voices as I tend to prefer the more earthy and powerful, lower-ranged voices but I think Aurora's voice is absolutely impressive and dreamy. It made sense why the birds would want to sing with her in the forest.

Ariel's voice really takes the cake to me. I think that ironically, it has the best of both worlds when it comes to range and pleasant-sounding. Beautiful high ethereal angelic as well as powerful, passionate and smoky. I find her voice to be completely captivating and compelling, perfectly fitting for someone who is billed with having "the most beautiful voice". Honestly, only Aurora and Tiana come close to her for me as far as really "above and beyond" euphonious and talented princess singing voices.

Mary Costa's voice is lovely. Don't get me wrong. But it's just not soothing like Ilene Woods. Mary's voice is very, very high in the octaves like Adriana Caselotti's. ( At least, Adriana and Mary can both carry extremely high notes, and avoid screeching like Idina Menzel does). I love Tchaikovsky's original ballet music inserted in the actual film, but Aurora's voice striving to match it in quality, is a bit strange. I can see where people would call it ethereal, but I don't like the warbling echo every single time Aurora hits a note. Ilene Woods's voice was just as beautiful as Mary Costa's, and llene didn't continually oscillate between pitches (doing vibrato with every single note).

I tend to like singers who deliver their notes fresh and simple without showing off their vibrato with every note or word. They only display vibrato when it is required. They don't overdo it. This is true for P!nk (whom I adore), and remains my standard for evaluating singing for the princesses. I don't like Adele for this reason: she warbles nonstop. So, while Aurora's voice is sweet, her delivery ( the constant vibrato in it) tires my eardrums ( which have to vibrate rapidly to keep up). Pocahontas's, Cinderella's, Jasmine's, Mulan's, and Ariel's voices only use vibrato when its strictly necessary, and they sound fresh, contemporary, and approachable. I want to listen to them. Their voices don't hold me ( the listener) "at a distance" like Aurora's voice does.

So ethereal... one can see why Philip thought it belonged to a wood sprite.

Aurora's voice is gorgeous in every sense of the word.

Aurora's is my favourite overall.

I think Aurora's voice is gorgeous I just prefer Ariel more her voice is very soothing not to high and not low like Alto for my personal taste and you can feel the emotion and passion when she sings like she can't express what she's feeling inside any other way especially when she sings "Part of Your World". All the Disney princesses have beautiful and unique voices though.

Aurora is my #1. :)

I adore Aurora's voice. Love Ariel's but she just can't compete, at least for me.

Ariel's voice doesn't compete up to the majestic voice of Aurora's.
