If not Rapunzel then Jasmine... Jasmine is just about as naive as Rapunzel, but she has more knowlage towards the outside world. The rest of the princesses seem to show off their cleverness in some way, But Rapunzel doesn't seem to do this at all.

Well, I stick to Jasmine - with Tiana my second choice. They both have the ability to think on their feet, but they seem to be very limited in their knowledge and not interested to learn anything outside of their comfort zone.
(I would have kept Pocahontas longer, but as long as Rapunzel stays, I'm happy).

FINALLY POCAHONTAS LEFT! Anyway I think her going into the west wing is just as stupid as Ariel going to Ursula. I watched the movie today and she's smart but not all that smart.

She has no street-smarts at all. I don't think she's that book smart since she only reads fairy-tales but yeah basically just book-smart.

She's book smart, but very naive and can be ditzy.

Well, she is nosy, but she is smart enough to outwit Lumiere and Cogsworth to make the way free to go into the west wing, smart enough to get something to eat behind the beast's back, smart enough to get Geaston out of her door - I don't think that she is as smart as Rapunzel and Mulan, but smarter than Tiana (who fells for Naveen and doesn't get what Mama Odie is about although she spells it out for her) and Jasmine is she easily.

Did she really have to stay in the castle? Couldn't she just call Gaston and people from the village to help her? Did she really have to enter the West Wing? I don't think so.

she has brilliant moments, but not many. She's still too young, I think.

we know that belle reads more than just fairytales, but WE DON'T SEE THAT. rapunzel reads about biology, arts, botanic, etc... yes, she does a stupid decision, but so does belle by entering in the west wing. at least we know that rapunzel has general culture.

She is naive and somewhat gullible. I think she was quite smart to realize by herself that she's the lost princess, but all of the girls left have their smart moments, and I just feel that Rapunzel's were not that many.

Rapunzel isn't that naive - she managed to outwit Eugene, and when he leaves her at the boat, you can see that she knows that he might leave with the crown, but is forcing herself to trust him. She trusts mother Gothel, but that isn't naive, that's a natural instinct - she is her mother after all. The only naive thing she does is taking on a bunch of thugs and reminding them of their humaity - but that's more an act of desperation.
Gullible - I don't think so. Eugene tries to use her insecurities against her, but she nevertheless manages to stay on track, despite years of conditioning.
Now, keep in mind that Rapunzel is with all that in disadvantage compared to the other princesses, and nevertheless manages to make better decisions than most of them.
