Disney Article: My پسندیدہ Disney Heroines

I love our Disney heroines, so I thought it might be fun to write an مضمون celebrating my favorites! Disney has دیا us some great females, and these are some of my favorites.

Favorite Animal Heroine: Perdita
I love Perdita! She’s such a good mother to her puppies. I love all the effort she puts into finding her puppies. She’s even willing to go to Cruella De Vil’s house in order to find them all. She will go to any lengths to protect them. And I love how she takes in all of the puppies in the end! She is such a kind and giving dog and I just love her- and this is coming from a cat person!

Such a perfect mother!

Favorite Heroine Friend: Nakoma
I’ve already written an entire مضمون on why I love her, so I’ll try and just summarize. Nakoma is an awesome friend to Pocahontas. She puts Pocahontas before herself and their friendship, and that takes a ton of courage. آپ have to really care about a friend to possibly jeopardize your friendship in order to protect your friend. I also love the way she tries to correct her mistakes. I love the way she cares for her people. I love the way she tries to act all mature and then lets loose and has fun. In a lot of ways I deeply relate to Nakoma, and I really admire her.

Favorite Young Heroine: Alice
I really love Alice. She’s another one I relate to in a very profound way. A lot of times, I feel like Alice. I feel like I live in my own fantasy world that I’ve made up in my head that no one else is a part of. I’ve sort of created my own Wonderland. I relate to her wanting to be in her own world of her creation and finding the real world unsatisfying. I also love her curiosity. It might get her into trouble, but she is just so interested in everything. Alice is just such a fun character.

Favorite Non-DP Princess: Kida
Right, so I needed a category for her in order to fit all the heroines I wanted to. I absolutely love Kida. She’s just so selfless and cares so much for her people. She was willing to be turned into a freaking crystal! I love the way she gives everything for the Atlanteans and does everything to try and revive their culture. I also love the way she falls for Milo. I just love the nerdy guy/ hot femme archetype! Kida is so strong and selfless, and I love that.

Favorite Non-Princes Heroine: Jane
Jane is such a fun character! She’s kind of a damsel, but that makes sense because she’s this proper English girl in the middle of a wild jungle. Jane is just so kind with the way she deals with Tarzan. I love the way they first meet and she looks into his eyes. Also, she is so caring and gentle with him when she teaches him English. She is a very patient person! I also love watching her describe meeting Tarzan! She’s just so hilarious and cute! Jane is really expressive. Jane is really creative and a very sweet and caring person.

Favorite Disney Princess: Mulan
Anyone who knows me from the Disney princess spot will not be surprised سے طرف کی this. Mulan is my پسندیدہ Disney character. She is just such an amazing person! When I first watched Mulan, I was watching Honor to Us All and something about the clumsy, awkward girl on screen just entranced me. I love her both before and after she joins the army. Before she joins, I love her obedience and devotion to her family. After she joins the army, I love her courage and selflessness. I love how Mulan gives everything for her family and her people. I also love her struggle with who she is. Unlike most Disney heroines, who know exactly who they are their entire films, Mulan truly doesn’t know who she is. I love the way she struggles to find it throughout the movie. I also love how she isn’t a tomboy یا a girly girl. She is just Mulan. I think she is a very wonderful character and an incredible person.

Pixar Mention: Edna
An Anna Wintor-esque three-foot high fashion designer voiced سے طرف کی a man. Need I say more? I also love Helen and Mirage.

Jessikaroo I agree with a lot of these, and it's nice to see another fan of Alice! (She's my favourite Disney character of all time). And omg that picture at the end, I remember when that was first going around Tumblr. Have you seen the one with the longer stream of comments? Pure comedy gold.

Swanpride Yeah, the Incredibles is full of fun female characters....NO CAPE!!!!! I kind of miss Captain Amelia, but since you don't know the movie, she would naturally not be there....I also have a love for Marian (and don't ask me why, it's not like she does so much in the movie). Either way, all great characters (I don't like Alice in Wonderland, but she herself IS a great character nevertheless...the movie is just too unfocussed for my taste).

Animated_Paint- Thank you, I really don't think I'd have been able to do a normal ranking! Plus, I've done so many of those, this was more fun! Swanpride-I love the female characters from the Incredibles- well, seeing as all the Pixar characters I mentioned were from that movie. I'm glad that you can like Alice in spite of her movie, that's probably a skill I could do with more of! Popcornfan- The first time I saw it I literally laughed out loud! Maria7Potter-Thank you! It's kind of refreshing just to explain why it is I love a character and not talk about why a character is lower than others.

Swanpride I'm wondering though...if you are such a cat person, why Perdita and not Duchess? I always preferred the latter because of the way she deals with everything thrown at her. The whole movie she is basically out of her element and encounters a world she doesn't really know, and not once does she looses her calm. She just keeps pushing on. Compared to her, Perdita is only a secondary character.

MalloMar No capes! :) I love all of these characters! Especially Jane and Mulan. I want to be them. I never really cared for Alice until recently. I watched the whole movie and was more than impressed. I like Nakoma as much as Pocahontas! Perdita is one of the best Disney mothers (though my favorite is Kala) Kida is so unique, I don't even think of her as being over 5,000 years old (correct me if I'm wrong.)! Nice article! Oh, yeah! I love the picture at the end! Hahaha!

dimitri_ Lmao, that last picture. Anyway, cool idea, I might do one of these myself. Jane and Alice are among my favorite Disney characters too. I'm not that into Alice in Wonderland but I can't help not loving Alice haha. And guess what? Mulan is also my favorite Disney character xD The characters in the Incredibles are all so amusing, but Edna takes the cake, she's so funny.

What Was Disney's Golden Decade? (1985-1994; 1995-2004; یا 2005-2014)

The Black Cauldron, the first Disney movie released سے طرف کی Walt Disney Picture and the first movie in the Katzenberg era, came out in 1985. It started a chain of outstanding فلمیں that Disney continues to release to the present day.

I thought it would be interesting to look at each of the three decades that have passed since the Eisner era came out, and discuss which could be truly described as Disney's Golden Decade.

Note: the movie are grouped into the decade in which they were first released in any era (Katzenberg era, post Katzenberg era and Lasseter era) and the فلمیں has to be part of Disney...
