18 Awesome Disney Easter Eggs You Need to Know About
Fact: We never get tired of watching Disney movies. Watching them over and over inevitably means we start noticing the clever little references and inside jokes that Disney animators hide for us eagle-eyed fans to find. We poured through our favorite Disney animated classics to bring you these Easter eggs—some well-known, and some that blew our minds:
One day you’re overthrowing the king, the next day you’re a throw rug. Textbook case of karma, or ironic reminder to be prepared? You decide.
We’re not surprised that ladies and tramps are among the many dogs wandering the streets of London.
Take a close look at the signs, and imagine what a different movie it would be if Belle had to save Maurice from Valencia (home to CalArts, where many Disney Animators studied), or Anaheim (home, of course, to The Happiest Place on Earth).
How did Squirrel-Wart get all the way from Camelot to the forest where Widow Tweed leaves Tod?
We like to imagine that all the Disney Princesses are best friends, and Rapunzel and Flynn’s appearance at Elsa’s coronation only confirms this in our minds.
We know you’re a huge Powerline fan—and you’re not alone. Even Mickey Mouse wants to stand out above the crowd.
We’re hoping Rapunzel’s usual morning line-up doesn’t include “prick finger on an enchanted spinning wheel and fall into a sleep-like death.”
Appearing as an adorable bubble toy is one of Dumbo’s many talents.
Nani is brave, smart, and fiercely loyal to those she loves—and her poster suggests she learned from the best.
Perhaps the Fair Folk needed the help of a tinker fairy?
We bet the King and Grand Duke from Cinderella had a hard time choosing a wedding gift for Prince Eric and Vanessa. Seriously, what do you get the sea witch who has everything?
Goob is clearly dreaming of watching The Jungle Book.
Apparently the Pumpkin King is one of Dr. Facilier’s friends on the other side.
Jane Porter and the Beast both have lovely taste in china.
While Dodger is asking “Why Should I Worry,” we’re wondering why Pongo’s in NYC. Dalmatian plantation vacation?
Baby Jim Hawkins is adora—wait a second, who’s that on his shelf?
The Galactic Federation will never find him here.
A familiar memo graces the bulletin board at Bad-Anon. (It must have taken a really big gust of wind to blow it all the way into Litwak’s Arcade.)
Did you already know about any of these references? Did we leave out one of your favorite Disney Easter eggs? Tell us in the comments!
