He could hear her soft footsteps coming closer to his room. He knew she had finally returned ہوم from her long "journey" as she would call it. She knocked lightly on his door, so light that if he wasn't awake and alert he'd never hear it. He uttered out a simple, "come in" and with that, the door swung open revealing his mother- no, his adopted mother. She stood there just barely taller than him. The shining crown resting on بان hair and her face devoid of its usual emotion as ice blue eyes dulled before becoming vibrant.
"Joss. It's really good to see آپ again."
Her response was short but her eyes were bright. She wasn't smiling- although one could assume she was from the tone of her voice. He glanced up at her, biting his lip ever so carefully as he debated a response. He loved her, yes. She was the girl that adopted him. A girl that was only about 16-17 years old. Barely reaching adulthood herself. But, she also abandoned them for several months. For her needs. For her wants. She craved power. She craved it enough that she'd leave everything behind to obtain it. The سوال is, did she obtain it? Is that why she has returned?
"Hello, mother. It's been a long time. Has your little quest been...successful?"
Bitter, cold words were thrown at her. He was the one who had to assist Athena and Saya around the castle. He was the one who focused on both his training, his studies and his younger sisters. He was the one who raised them these past few months as both Athena and Saya were swamped with all the work they had to deal with.
"I know. You're upset that I left. It's not a surprise to me after all. Athena was also..displeased. But, to answer your question... maybe? I feel like.. I can't say for sure. Never آپ mind about what I was doing. I'm here for a reason. To... I guess mend things between us."
Joss remained silent for a few moments. Her words running through his mind. Regardless of what happened she still was someone who adopted him from that orphanage. He sighed before nodding and then motioned her inside. This was a private conversation for just the two of them after all.
