It may have something to do with his mom treating him as مزید of a friend and not a son (as seen in "TSST!"), but my mom has always treated me as مزید of a friend, and I turned out okay!
it's probably because he doesn't have a dad. usually when boys grow up with out of a fatherly figure and were raised only سے طرف کی there mom, most of them get angry easily. That and his mom gives him anything he wants and since he grew up like that, he thinks he has to have his way all the time. that's how my cousin is.
