Game of Thrones” ending than Sophie Turner, who’s played Sansa Stark since the show’s inception.
The newly blonde actress (who’s returned to her natural hair color for a movie role) shared her thoughts on the HBO hit’s final two seasons.
“We kinda always knew it would be seven or eight seasons,” Turner explained at
‘s Power of Young Hollywood event, presented by Pixhug. “It’s really sad. It’s really uncomfortable to think about my life without ‘Game of Thrones.’ Not only has it been like a family — going to see a family every summer — but it’s also been a safety net. When I finish this I don’t actually know what’s going to happen. I might slip into a deep, deep depression because I won’t know what to do with myself. It’s going to be very strange. I feel people are going to miss it dearly.”
‘Game of Thrones’ Cast and Creators Talk Season 7 Delay, Jon’s Parentage and Sansa’s Goals
Turner revealed she just got the scripts for Season 7, and hinted what direction her character might take. “I actually don’t know because of the way last season left off. There are so many options,” she teased. “She could run with Littlefinger and become a villain and sadistic. Or she could also team up with her brother Jon.”
Since “Game of Thrones” is infamous for killing off its core characters, Turner also pondered how a potential Sansa death would be portrayed.
“A long, slow episode-lasting death, where it’s just one long scene of my death and no one else,” she joked. “And it’s going to be the last episode of the last season.”
Regardless of her fate, Turner has already ventured outside Westeros, playing Phoenix in this summer’s superhero blockbuster “X-Men: Apocalypse.” Check out what her response was when we asked her what she would do if she possessed her character’s mutant powers.
