if lorelai and max got married then there would have been no lorelai and luke... unless lorelai and max got divorced but still there would have been no lorelai and luke and that would have made me really sad.

max loved lorelai and was good to her and lorelai may ever have been in head over heels love but she would have been ahppy. thats not to say that i dont absolutely adore her with luke

I wouldn't say terrible, but they definately weren't right for each other. she's always been in love with luke wether she realized it or not, and vice versa. it was just always slightly off with max because of that.

At the beginning of the series, I liked Max and Lorelai together. But as it developed it was clear that Luke and Lorelai were meant to be together, so I'm glad they never got married. The show would have been very different, but still good probably.

I agree with Dragonfly0879; I loved Max and Lorelai in season 1. When he proposed in season 2 things were too spontaneous and Lorelai wasn't ready for marriage as a commitment. However, if she continued to work on commitment the marriage may have worked out. But I don't think she was in love with him. Tough pick!

I liked Max, but Lorelai was ALWAYS meant for Luke... it would happened like with Christopher and they would have gotten a divorse!!!!!!
