-The اگلے Day-
I went over to میز, جدول where all the glee club girls were. They were talking about Sam and Mercedes' summer fling. Then, Mercedes started singing "Summer Nights" سے طرف کی Grease with all the girls, including me, singing back-up.

-in Glee club-
Mr. Schue was writing something on the white board , while everyone was trying to read it.

"Marry me", I read.

"What's going on, Mr. Schue", Mercedes asked.

"I'm going to propose to Ms. Pillsbury." Everyone applauded.

"That's wonderful, Mr. Schue", I said.

"Yeah, and we think آپ won't mess up this time", کہا Quinn.

Mr. Schue smiled, but didn't laugh. "Anyway, the assignment is to work with a partner on a duet piece for my proposal to Ms. Pillsbury." Everyone cheered.

I beamed. I looked at Artie and couldn't wait to ask him to be my partner.

-at my locker-
This is it. I walked out of glee club, determined to ask Artie to be my boyfriend. Er, partner. Which ever one came first. But then I saw Artie talking to a cheerleader.

"Hi Artie, want to go out", I heard her say.

"Go out where", Artie had said.

"On a-"

I ran up to them. "Hey Artie." I looked the cheerleader up and down. "Who's your friend?"

"Hey Sol. This is Becky."

"Hi." Becky smiled at me.

I didn't smile back. "Hi." The گھنٹی, بیل rung. "C'mon Artie, class time."

"You go, I'll catch up."

I looked from Artie, to Becky, then back to Artie. "Okay." I turned away and walked down the hallway.Something's off about that Becky girl. I looked back at her.Yep, she has down syndrome just like my cousin. But even she isn't getting in my way of asking Artie out.

-next period-
I saw Artie talking to Finn.And no Becky in sight. Time to make my move. I was just to about to talk to Artie, when Becky came in between us.Damn she's fast.

"Hi Artie, I can't wait for our date."

"Me either, Becky."

She ran off.

I looked to make sure she was gone. She was. "Hey again, Artie."

He smiled. "Hey."

"I was wondering if you'd like to be my partner for Mr. Schue's assignment?"

"I'm already working with Mike."

Dammit Mike! "Oh."

"I'm sorry."

"It's okay." It actually wasn't. "I'll just work with someone else." I turned and walked away.

-in the hallway-
I decided to ask Sam if he would work with me.

"Sure Sol."

I smiled. "Awesome. Have any ideas?"

"Not yet. But when-", Sam was interrupted on account of being slushied سے طرف کی the hockey team.

"Synchronized", کہا the two hockey jerks that slushied Sam. Then they high-fived and walked away.

"You okay?"

He was smiling, but looked over my shoulder. Looking at Mercedes. "I will be."

"Oh, I get it. Bye." I walked down the hallway.

-back at Glee club-
Artie entered the room. I was sitting سے طرف کی Tina.

"Artie, it's time for a Becky intervention", Tina said.

Artie had a puzzled look on his face. "What are آپ talking?"

"Did آپ go to to BreadstiX with Becky", Berry asked.

"Yeah. We had a great time. She's nice, sweet, and funny."

"No she's not", کہا Santana. "I was دوستوں with that girl, she's one sly, conniving bitch."

"Artie, we think آپ should stop hanging around with Becky", کہا Finn.

"Why? Because she understands me? آپ know آپ guys make a lot of fuss about being different from everyone else, but you're all hypocrites." Artie then wheeled out of the room.

-Next Period-
I couldn't help but eavesdrop on Artie and Becky's conversation. I was standing behind the corner.

I heard Becky say, "Hey hottie, my house Friday night. آپ and I are gonna do it."

Excuse me?

"I'm sorry", I heard Artie say.

"I sent آپ a picture office what you'll be seeing Friday night." I heard her footsteps and knew she was gone.

I came from my hiding place and stood in front of Artie. I saw him looking at his phone.

"Oh my..." He put his phone away.

"What's wrong?" Though I knew the answer.

"I've to go talk to Coach Sue." He wheeled off, his face red.

-back in Glee Club-
Berry was singing "Without You" سے طرف کی Usher. Once she finished, everyone applauded. Finn went up to her and kissed her.

"Good job, Berry." I smiled at her. She smiled back.

"I agree", کہا Santana. "You really nailed the assignment. Oh wait, the assignment wasn't to make it all about Rachel Berry and make everyone watch, was it Mr. Schue?"

"Enough, Santana." Mr. Schue smiled at Berry. "Great job, Rachel."

Berry and Finn sat down.

"Okay, Mr. Schue", کہا Artie. "It's the end of the week. Which song are آپ going to do?"

Mr. Schue thought. "I'm still not sure."

I looked to Sam, who was already looking at me with a smile. I returned the smile. "Mr. Schue, Sam and I have an idea."

-at the school's pool-
Sam and I gathered all the glee club members in order to perform "We Found Love" سے طرف کی Rihanna for Mr. Schue's proposal to Mrs. Pillsbury.
