Glee Season 6: Will Jonathan Groff Be Returning as Jesse St. James?

Glee’s sixth and final season even began filming, co-creator Ryan Murphy said he would welcome any old cast members back to Lima should they wish to return for the show’s last hurrah, and it certainly sounds like one fan-favorite character from earlier seasons will be coming back for more.

Jonathan Groff appeared as Jesse St. James on the FOX dramedy in Seasons 1-3, but we haven’t seen much of him in recent years. However, during an appearance on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live last week Lea Michele’s (Rachel) bestie hinted that he likely wasn’t done with Lima just yet.

When a caller phoned in wanting to know if Jesse would resurface in Season 6, “Maybe...” J.Groff began with that sweet smile we know and love. “I don’t know, but that’s definitely a possibility.”

“Maybe you do know but you can’t say,” WWHL host Andy Cohen prodded.

“Maybe I do know but I can’t say,” Jonathan repeated with a laugh.

We have to say, it might be nice to see Jesse pop up on Glee’s final season, especially since Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) is now coaching Vocal Adrenaline and Jesse has a history with Rachel. Last we saw Ms. Berry she was smooching Sam (Chord Overstreet), but anything can happen on this show.
