I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.
I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.
I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.
We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.
I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.
I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.
I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.
I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.
We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.
I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.
I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.
I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.
I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.
I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.
I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.
I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.
I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.
I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.
I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.
Basically you don't hate them or dislike them, you just disagree with them?
I see where you're coming from, but if that were the case, everyone would be gay. I think the way most people for gay rights would see it, God made two genders so that they could have a choice. Er... I probably worded that wrong...
Since there are two genders, both of which can be attracted to either of said genders, God created both. You said "if they were supposed to be together" as if heterosexuality didn't exist. Yes, two genders were created, but apparently, two sexual preferences were created as well.
^ These aren't exactly my beliefs, btw. I'm just trying to look at it from another perspective.
ANYONE WHO SAYS THAT THEY WILL GO TO HELL ARE IDOITS!!!! THE BIBLE SOULDN'T BE TAKEN LITERLY!!!
I don't hate homosexuals, but I will never agree/accept homosexuality as a complete right, since it's against God's Word, which has never been disproven, whereas all this science *theories* have proven just to be speculation/opinions.
ok,i don't understand the gay rights but..Com' on,we are all people,we are created by God,we live in the same world
The discrimations, jealousy and hate is what separates us from each other
If u really had a chance to meet the others,i'm sure you'd see that they are not as bad as u thought
I'm 100% christian and i know what i'm saying
This is what i believe
But, homosexuals are committing sin (don't intend to repent), even if it's against God's Word. Everyone sins. We all will until it's our own time to go. BUT, confess, ask to sin less (can't be sinless, since that's Jesus). Pray for others, even if u think of them as an enemy, an annoyance, someone in need, or the unsaved.
Christians who love the homosexual person can choose to disagree with that person, knowing it's not their whole personality (being homosexual), & try to lead them to Christ (via The Holy Spirit is at work), & pray for them, but not stop loving them. Jesus even sat with sinners, but disagreed with them, & encouraged them to follow the better path of life (Him/The Father).
We are all sinners. There's no escaping it while on earth. But, sinning less (asking for it from God), is possible too. But, the problem with homosexuals is that they don't see anything wrong with what they are doing, thus being unrepentant. That's why I don't see how it's right for this to be pressed on Christians/the population, just like it isn't right for Christians to hate/force our own beliefs on others.
& the impression this whole *gay rights* thing is giving off is that we have no freedom of religion anymore, Christians are being forced to allow homoseuals to get married, etc. It isn't right at all. That's just as bad as judging due to skin color. The difference between racial civil right & *gay* civil *right*? Racial civil rights aren't against God's Word (which says love thy neighbor as thyself) while homosexuality is a choice listed among many sins (it's not being judgmental if we as Christians disagree with it, we don't hate the person, just don't agree with their choice is all), thus not a civil right.
