Clewis is my H2o OTP, and I think they had a great relationship and amazing development. Without fail, I always fall for the childhood best friends to lovers trope, and I love how we see that Lewis clearly has a crush on Cleo, his best friend, right from 1x01, and then it becomes evident that Cleo reciprocates his feelings. I love couples who have a rich history of friendship that predates the show, and Clewis is a quintessential example of that. I love how they bumble, fumble, and finally admit their feelings for one another. I also like that they decided to take a break in season 2, because I think it was necessary for growth. Many times, break ups are just used as a way of creating silly drama, but in Cleo and Lewis' case it felt fair. Cleo was growing up and learning, and she was dealing with the new intensity of her powers, and Lewis was smothering her, because she saw his constant support as frustrating at the time. I also think Lewis needed to grow outside of the relationship, and while his relationship with Charlotte was a toxic trainwreck, he acknowledges that he made a mistake when he entered into that relationship. 2x25 was a great episode, because it showed how much these two need each other, and how they always rely on one another. Cleo was struggling with so many things, but particularly because she genuinely believed she lost Lewis, and Emma and Rikki are her best friends, but it was Lewis whom she needed. And he immediately came to help her, because letting her down is unimaginable to him. I love how they support each other, how they believe in one another, and how they're relationship grows so strong. Their love is also selfless; Cleo explains how Lewis needs to reach his potential, and she has to let him go to America in 3x13, and they come back stronger together in 3x26. I like how the effectively navigated a long distance relationship, as well.

I honestly dislike Bella and Will's relationship, because it was executed really poorly. Bella develops a crush on Will immediately, and she seems to expect so much from the relationship early on, even before they are really friends. Will is just a dull character, in my opinion, mainly because the show does a poor job developing him. He also leads Bella on and seems to care more about her mermaid abilities in the immediate aftermath of him discovering her secret. But my biggest problem with the relationship was that it was dragged out and unnecessarily prolonged; the will they/won't they got old really fast. There was so much unnecessary drama infused into the relationship, such as Sophie seeing Bella as a distraction to Will's training, Will's brief, random crush on Rikki, Zane's rivalry with Will, etc. I will say, though, that Luke and Indiana did have fantastic chemistry, so that was one positive.
