Daniel Radcliffe interview about DH part 2?(SPOILER)

In an interview with Movie Magic Mag, Daniel Radcliffe کہا that Voldemort tried to beat Harry to death..
He states 'He(voldemort) just tries to kill Harry, physically, just سے طرف کی beating him up...'
Does this happen in the books? It's been a while since I've read them.....
