DO آپ consider snape to be good یا bad?

Severus was a very good man. His problems imo all stem from his early childhood. Children learn kindness, how to relate to others and empathy from their parents, and Severus unfortunately was not taught that. He was a neglected child and his main male role model was not a pleasant person. As a consequence he floundered and struggled through most of his adolescence and early adulthood. However in the end as Dumbledore کہا “It is our choices...that دکھائیں what we truly are, far مزید than our abilities.” Severus chose to try to save Lily, he chose to become a spy for the order, he chose to protect Harry after Lily died, he chose to شامل میں the Order, he chose to save Draco's soul, he chose to be loyal to Dumbledore, he chose to become one of the most hated people in order to continue helping Harry, he chose to protect the students at Hogwarts even though they all hated him and made his job difficult, he chose to spend his last moments in life helping Harry. I don't think he knew how to be nice so he tried to emulate Lily, he did what he thought she would have wanted.

Neither, he wasn't really a bad guy, but not really a good guy either. Yes he betrayed Voldemort and acted on Dumbledore's orders, but I also doubt he would have changed sides if Voldemort hadn't killed Lily. He's kind of self-serving.

Absolutely, positively, unequivocally, Severus Snape was good.

I say this with no hesitation.

مجموعی طور پر I still think Snape was pretty much a bad guy. Not in the sense of the bad guy vs. the good guy یا the Order of the Phoenix vs. subscribers to the Dark Arts.
Rather, I just think he wasn't a nice guy - if it hadn't been for Lily he probably would have stayed with Voldemort and all of the double agent stuff wouldn't have taken place.

However, it really depends on how آپ judge a person. To quote Dumbledore - "It is our choices, Harry, that دکھائیں what we truly are, far مزید than our abilities."
Though abilities aren't the thing in question, it is مزید the beginning of the quote that has meaning here. If آپ subscribe to this way of thinking then Snape was indeed good.

This is why I love Snape; he is one of the most dynamic and interesting characters in the story.

I consider Snape to play both sides, but I think deep down he's a good guy. He just has to play the bad side because otherwise it would result in his death. That's just my opinion, though.

Everything he did was what Dumbledore told him to do. So I think that he was a good guy.
However I did NOT like how he treated Harry. Terribly rude to him.

Severus Snape definitely wasn't a nice man, but he wasn't evil. He was so complicated and so misterious that it is really impossible to tell who he really was, but I do know that deep inside, he was a good man who loved so deeply he died for that love. Though we was mean, petty, sarcastic and unnecessary cruel, but since he wasn't running in any popularity pageant, I don't really care about that :)

I think he was a good guy who made some bad choices.

I think Severus Snape Prince was a HERO!
Maybe he wasn't exactly the best person in this world, but he was so so so so Brave and noble! I believe in سیکنڈ chances and Snape was just..AWESOME!
He's definitely one of the greatest characters ever! And Alan Rickman has done a really good job with him:)

He's not a nice guy, but he's not evil. I don't particularly like him because of how he treated people.

BAD

when i watch the فلمیں i want to hate him but then i read Deathly Hallows & think he's a great person plain and simple read the book it'll make آپ understand why he acts the way he does.

Regardless how he treated Harry. Harry couldn't have done what he did without Snape. I say what he did was brave and selfless in the end. I would have never even lifted a finger if I were him, دیا how he was treated pretty much all his life. He did make some bad choices in his past, but what he did in the end made up for it a million times over and infinity.

Snape was definatly cruel to the Hogwarts students at times. In the end he protected the students and was probably the best double agent whoever lived. He also protected Harry in the first book/movie from Professor Quirrel (I can't spell his name). So I believe that Snape was the good guy.

Good. Snape is one of my favorites. and then again so is Bellatrix and we all know shes no good :p

He's an asshole, but that's just cuz he was picked on a lot during Hogwarts student years...So he's good, but he needs a hug and possibly a new hairstyle...

I believe him to be good. Once he realized his faults, he dedicated the rest of his life (literally) to owning up to them and trying to fix them. It was his love that ultimately led to his better choices, the love that no true Death Eater possessed.

Definitely good.

Of course it's been years since I read the کتابیں but I don't recall him ever doing anything particularly useful for the bad guys and against the good guys.

He tried to spare Lily, protected Harry from the get-go, was a double-agent for Dumblefore never really against him, and even when he worked for Voldemort's good he did it in order to save a boy's life - as in for Draco's sake.

I think it's screamingly obvious he was meant as one of the good guys. :)

I honestly believe that Severus Snape was مزید good than bad, although one might consider him kind of in the middle. His story was one of love and loss and heartache. His love for Harry's mother is what I believe pushed him to help Harry along... it definitely wasn't that he liked Harry, because I do believe that the boy bugged him half to death. However, he definitely wasn't Team Voldemort, which was good xD
