I agree with what had already been کہا here. I noticed in the فلمیں that Alan Rickman conveyed all this marvelously. I mean, every time Severus looks at Harry, in the movies, Severus seems to stop for a تقسیم, الگ کریں second, before turning nasty to the boy, as if during that short moment, he could but see only Lily's eyes. Sometimes, I even suspect that he wanted to strangle the boy but at the last moment, he saw Lily's eyes and it stopped him. This is particularly obvious in OotP, during the last Occlumency lesson, when Severus was brutal with Harry. That's why I appreciated, in Severus' death scene, that they made him say "You have your mother's eyes". As if for the very first time, Severus was able to see that and only that. As if he was past this hateful stage of seeing James in his son. Alan Rickman used a tone that conveyed all the regrets and remorse and guilt he had felt about Lily's death. For the very first time, he spoke to Harry gently, with almost a hint of joy and admiration for Lily's eyes, as if just before dying he had told Harry everything he had wished to tell Lily. So much is کہا in so few words... Maybe I've been extrapoling but that was what I felt - and still do - when I watched the scene. I went to see the movie twice in a week's time...
