Harry Potter سوال

It's a Great Idea.....Right?

Well the nub and the gist is:

At my school we are having a Character-Costume دن to raise money for a school in Gambia. So basically, EVERYONE has to dress up as some kind of charcter from a BOOK. And I immediatley thought "HARRY POTTER!" because my دوستوں and I have the right hair colours!

We are planning to go as:
Me = Hermoine Granger
Friend 1 (Alex) = Ginny Weasley
Friend 2 (Josie) = Luna Lovegood

It's a great idea, right? We've gotten black robes, cloaks and red and سونا scarves for Gryffindor (Blue and silver for Josie) But I'm nervous that...

...well at my LEARNING ENVIROMENT-IO liking HP is considered....nerdy. I mean me and Josie don't care but Alex is worried.

Should I put her in danger of social suicide??

But then we wouldn't be able to raise as much money...

یا should I make her and make as much money as we can for the kiddy-winks in Gambia??

The costume thing was on monday so we all went and I must say we looked AWESOME. We raised so much money for Gambia, it was great. Though people kept going "AVADA KEDRAVA!" everytime we passed, but that was only a few. We all came first for best-dressed in our سال and third in the whole school! We even ACTED a scene from Order of the Phoenix, it was fabulous. Yes, it was NOT social suicide. Thank you, people!!

It's just a matter of taste.
In my school liking HP is considered nerdy too, liking gothic litterature is considered demoniac and liking Doctor Who is considered nonsense but i like it and nobody will say to me what i must watch یا what i must read یا what i must listen.

Yeeeeeees. Jonas Bros are considered wet, while liking Twilight is less nerdish than liking Harry Potter. I KNOW. Liking sparkly vampires is ٹھنڈے, کولر than Harry Potter.....apparently.

In my school, twilight and harry potter are both not very popular, but there not nerdy :) maybe my school just doesnt like reading! :) haha

sparkly vamps? there are way better mythological and fantasy stories out there, but thats just me, everyone's different. hope the fundraising goes good!

well in my school hp isn't neither nerdy nor popular.... and in my class me and one of my best دوستوں are considered as hp maniac! every time they talk about magic, emma, dan, rowling and generally hp they immediately look at us!!x)

:) Alex is a girl, note her going as Ginny Weasley. She does like Harry Potter but she doesn't SAY that she does.....SHE LIKES TWILIGHT مزید AND SHE WANTED ME TO GO AS BELLA SWAN!!! I had just HAD to get that out of me...

well good for you! آپ know آپ should stand for your opinion! if آپ like hp then آپ have no reason to be ashamed of it! if آپ don't آپ shouldn't be hiding it either!! in some schools it's weird not liking it.............. twilight is cool but a much "lighter" book.... no really well written, with not that an interesting plot...........

Sometimes i wonder about some schools they ban some کتابیں because they believe it gives off the wrong message یا simply cuz they dont like it...cuz some schools over here in australia they have banned twilight, harry potter, etc...thankfully the school i went to that never happened :) i really feel for those who cant read what they want to cuz someone says so...anyways good luck with your character costume دن i love dressing up, your never too old too! lol
