although fanfiction has given me my own view on how awesome James Potter was, we don't actually know exactly how great of a chaser he was. So I have to go with Ginny.

In the books, they said that Harry was as good as his father. So, if Harry is a great Quidditch player, James must be great as well :)

James Potter and Ginny Weasley were both Seekers, not chasers. Harry was a great Seeker just like his dad.

Ginny was both seeker and chaser, and she said that she prefered to play as a chaser. In the books, nobody ever says that James played as a seeker. They just assumed that on the first film. But that it's actually wrong. J.K. Rowling says on her site that James was a chaser. And she knows better than anyone. :P

He may not be pretty, he may not play fair, but I like the way he plays. Slytherins almost always get what they want. (The only exception is when Harry Potter is involved, since there is an unwritten rule that he must never fail. Lol)
