Dracofan, an implication does not make it so. Since JK Rowling has never expressly stated that Lucius is an Animagus, he isn't. And Seth Cooper very clearly answered that question in the link you posted that they were just pets.

I'm pretty sure the peacock was just a pet. To me, the quote "He always did himself well, Lucius. Peacocks." is about Malfoy being rich and ostentatious. Who else would have white peacocks in his yard besides someone who is obviously trying to impress people with his vast wealth a.k.a. Lucius Malfoy. The link you provided is just a case of someone misinterpreting the quote.

dracofan, we're not guessing. Everything on Harry Potter Wikia is researched and verified with every canon source available. If you look at the bottom of each entry, you will find the list of sources the information came from, so that you can check them for yourself. Why don't you take a few moments and do some real research instead of making an ass of yourself on a public forum?

I wasn't attacking you personally so don't tell me to shut up. All I'm saying is that you shouldn't assume he's an animagus based on some obscure quote. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't, and maybe it doesn't really matter because the series is finished and it changes nothing. I personally couldn't care less. What I do care about is people posting false/unconfirmed information in a pick as if it's a fact.

You said I shouldn't say anything without proof, but where's your proof? Where is your message from J.K. Rowling (no 's' by the way) saying that Lucius Malfoy is an animagus. I don't recall any of the books (or movies for that matter) stating specifically that he's an animagus. Maybe you should verify your info and stop being a hypocrite.

@dracofan001 No one would be "picking on you" if you hadn't made it personal in the first place. If you go back to my first post, all I did was say that I don't think Lucius is an animagus. I don't enjoy having someone tell me to shut up for having a different opinion, especially if they do so in all capital letters (which, in case you didn't know, is considered rude on the internet). Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and not everyone is going to agree with yours (or mine). There is no need to take it personally if someone doesn't agree with you. I also don't like having someone tell me to do something that he or she didn't bother to do (verify info).

As you can see, Lucius Malfoy's name doesn't feature on either of them. If you want to believe that he is one of the unknown animagi, then that's your prerogative. Just don't post it in a pick like this where it is likely to get misconstrued as a fact. If you want to post a pick about him being an animagus, you could ask something like, "Do you think Lucius Malfoy is an animagus?"

Oh, and next time, you might want to be more careful about using all capital letters, because you never know who you're going to offend, and if you think we're picking on you, trust me, there are people out there who are a lot nastier than we've been.
