Why isn't there one Italy?

I think there are two Italys because they have a different history. North was taken over سے طرف کی Austria and south was taken over سے طرف کی spain in history

But that's because Italy was two countries, until it was unified in some سال I forgot. Now it's one country.

Well maybe because they are representing Italy before it became one nation. یا cuz they are representing the different Italian cultures and origins. I think two italy are better

Because North Italy has always been very different from South Italy.
