House M.D. Article: The Hameron vs. The Huddy kiss

A short analysis from someone who likes both <3. (and has just rewatched both kisses very very VERY often xD)

1)    The music

Hameron

In the Hameron kiss, we have background موسیقی from the beginning. In my opinion it was a very good choice of music, it helped creating the right atmosphere, it wasn’t too loud and yet wasn’t to miss. Perfect in my opinion.

Huddy

Okay… where the hell was the awesome موسیقی that was meant to support the kiss??? There were some sounds at the end of the kiss, but that was all… Kinda disappointing for me, seeing as good موسیقی can achieve a lot and my ears weren’t really happy during the huddy kiss, which was also caused سے طرف کی a little too much slobering.
But the موسیقی thing, like almost everything in life, is of course relative, everyone has their own preferences, someone may enjoy it مزید without music, but seeing as this is my analysis of the kisses, I have to say that I give the „background music“ point to the hameron kiss.

2)    The passion

Hameron

There was passion in the Hameron kiss, but to be honest – not that much. The hameron kiss was مزید a soft and tender kiss. As I always say, passion is, when آپ have the feeling, they are going to undress each other any moment- an impression I didn’t have while watching the hameron kiss.

Huddy

No matter where the passion came from – it was there. Clearly to see in the way she moved her hands over his body and in the way he moved his head – that was just pure passion.

So this point goes to…. Huddy!

3)    The surprise effect

Hameron

Okay, who saw this kiss coming? (without reading spoilers) The hameron شائقین were longing for a kiss, but the hameron times were in season 1 and season 2, so I think this kiss came rather unexpected.

Huddy

And who didn’t see this kiss coming? It could have happened in any episode, all this talking and flirting and breast-staring got مزید and more, a huddy kiss was very likely to happen.

So the surprise effect point belongs to..the Hameron kiss ;]

4)    The „lost in the kiss“ point

Hameron

When two people kiss, they close their eyes and are so lost in the kiss, that everything around them doesn’t matter anymore. A bomb could explode near them and they wouldn’t even notice.
Unfortunately, House noticed that Cameron was about to pull a syringe out of her white coat, which gives us tot hink…

Huddy

Since Cuddy didn’t try to stab House while kissing him, we don’t know if he would have noticed that, but seriously… did it look like he would have noticed anything else at that moment?

I say no and give the „lost in the kiss“ point to the Huddy kiss :]

So after this analysis I have 2:2. I’m sure there are some مزید things to compare, I just couldn’t think of any at the moment and I am now sick of watching these 2 kisses over and over again. Lol

babybell i think there was no lust in the ham kiss, it was like watching to people make each others lips' feel better. In the huddy kiss they were like... almost disgustingly lustful. I mean to the point where you begin to question several things 1) if HL and LE are really just feel friendly things towards each other 2) if they aren't just basically having fucking orgasms when they are kissing and 3) if this is really decent for someone of my age to watch. Also i would say build up is a good thing not a bad thing, it makes it feel less random and it makes it more meaningful. I also think you should have incorporated the forgetful fact: the ham kiss was 30 seconds of kissing then... well nothing. It effectively ended ham. Whereas the huddy kiss was 30 seconds of kissing then so much huddy references i die inside every episode and non obsessive huddy's are getting frankly annoyed. One more thing: i feel sorry for you you have to keep watching the kisses. Ham kiss makes me throw up because if the people kissing, and huddy kiss makes me feel like its too private to watch, which is a feeling you get after the first time watching it not the 1000th like me. (if you know me, i am very bias. Like... incredibly. so this comment has as much objectiveness as a fish :P)

kellinator Great analysis! But I actually liked that the Huddy kiss didn't have any music because that makes it all the more real. It wasn't supposed to be hot or romantic, it was supposed to be a provate, ungarded moment between two people, which is what it was.

Cuddles You know my opinion and you know I'm incredibly biased but your article is awesome. It's great that someone who acutally likes both kisses wrote that article...if I would have to do it...well you know me ;) xD. Anyway...I liked it too that the Huddy kiss didn't have music but that is a matter of taste and for me watching the Hameron kiss is more of a punishment *hides from hameron* But your analysis was great. *goes and gives props*

oldmovie I loved it Olivine! Way to compare them, a very good an objective look at the kisses. The only thing I would disagree with is the music, I thought the lack of music in the Huddy kiss was part of the overall effect, it was supposed to be real and well sort of sloppy on purpose.

babybell i thinkt eh word is unguarded, not sloppy... although there were sounds that were slurpy.... uurrrghhh thats a disgusting thought.

PotterGal Great article Olivine! There's only one thing i disagree with and that's your point about the lack of music in the Huddy scene. I think it was meant to be that way: no music made the atmosphere of the kiss seem so much more raw, real and passionate and that's why i loved that it was just THEM. :)

lisahughfan I loved the Huddy kiss...and more so because of the lack of music, I personally liked hearing the "slurping" and the total unexpected passion and need they both displayed....watching it for the at least 100th time and i still feel the same tingles and a little embarassed feeling like we all shouldnt be watching them and I would really like to know how the hell neither one of them couldn't have gotten aroused, and Im talking about the actual actors HL and Le not HOuse and Cuddy...im going to watch again, right now...

Before answering this, I would just like to say that I’m not a smart fan. آپ know, like Missy یا OM that they analyze every action House does and the way he speaks,etc. I just take it as it is. That means no deep analysis from my part. Like آپ know, I’m so rational I don’t look out for double meanings on the actions (unless they are super obvious) so آپ may not find anything really interesting here. Yeah, I just...
