Part12- the past two years to the present Section 1
Aki: "Ichinose kun!!!" she ran up to him and hugged him, crying.
Aki: "how are آپ still alive?"
Domon: "yeah," دکھانا a face of disbelief,"your dad کہا that آپ had died at the hospital."
Ichinose: "well it's kind of a long story."
Satsuki: "yeah, a two years long one," she کہا with a grin.
Endou thought that he should leave the four to catch up so he got the team back up to practicing.
Endou: "okay minna! Lenshu ne modoro!"
Team: "HAI!!!!"
Aki, Domon, Ichinose, and Satsuki sat down on the sideline bench...
Ichinose: "well it started like this..."
Two years before...
Satsuki woke up to the sound of someone calling her name. It was very familiar. Then it hit her. Ichinose!
She opened her eyes to see him in front of her sitting in a wheelchair.
Satsuki: *through tears* "I'm dead aren't I !" which she wouldn't have cared because she was killing people when she was alive too.
Ichinose: *laughing* "hello satsuki! your not dead, I'm alive!"
He leaned over and gave her a huge hug.
Satsuki: "WHAT! Fine, then I'm dreaming because your dad called and told us that آپ were dead!" tears were now flowing out of her eyes making them look stormy blue.
Ichinose: "I told him to say that," hugging her tightly,"I would have hidden longer, but I didn't expect آپ to faint on the sidewalk."
Satsuki pulled away from her friend, wiping away her tears...
Satsuki: "hiding? From who?"
Ichinose: "From you, Aki, and Domon," he کہا with a sad sigh.
Satsuki: *whisper* "but why?"
Ichinose moved his chair to the window. He had tears in his eyes.
Ichinose: "after the crash...the doctors told me I couldn't do soccer anymore. That my legs would be paralyzed and that I couldn't kick a ball anymore!"
His voice grew into a sad, but angry voice, then it got softer.
Ichinose: "I had made a promise to آپ guys, my best friends, that we would do soccer forever no matter what happened, but I couldn't keep that promise. I just couldn't face آپ three."
Satsuki was crying again. It was her, Aki, and Domon's fault that Ichinose thought that we would be upset with him because he couldn't play soccer, but it wasn't true. "we would have helped him get through it," she thought,"the three of us would have helped Ichinose play soccer again!" Then she had a brilliant idea! She stood up and walked over to Ichinose and put a hand on his shoulder.
Satsuki: "you know Aki and Domon went back to Tokyo right?"
Ichinose nodded
Satsuki: "do آپ want me to call them and tell them the good news?"
Ichinose shook his head no.
Ichinose: "It wouldn't help anything. I'm still paralyzed. I can't play soccer..."
This made Satsuki mad.
Satsuki: "WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE ICHINOSE I KNOW. THE ONE THAT KNOWS WHAT TO DO WHEN THINGS GO WRONG!"
Ichinose was stunned سے طرف کی her reaction. This was the first time that he saw sweet, loving, beautiful Satsuki get extremely mad. She was scary. She calmed down.
Satsuki: "it wouldn't do any good to sit around all دن feeling sorry for yourself. It'll just ruin and waste your life... Just like it did to me..." tears streamed down her face, but then she smiled.
Satsuki: "what does a doctor know? I'm gonna prove that آپ can play soccer again. I won't let آپ not play soccer."
Ichinose: "but I can't even walk."
"this isn't the strong, confident, Ichinose I knew," satsuki thought,"he's lost all confidence."
Satsuki got down to Ichinose's face, 3 inches away...
Satsuki: "Ichinose Kazuya, I'm going to help آپ walk, run, and play soccer again. We're going to come back to Aki and Domon, with آپ in full strength. We're give them a reason to say "okaeri"
Ichinose was both happy and scared of what satsuki was going to do, but if it meant playing soccer again and seeing Aki and Domon, then he'd try anything.
Ichinose: "thank آپ Satsuki."
Satsuki: *with a grin* "don't thank me, just yet," she کہا with a wink.
Ichinose got surgery a few weeks later on his legs. Satsuki was praying that nothing would go wrong in his surgery. If the doctors messed up his surgery, than there might not be any hope for him to walk anymore...the surgery finished...
Doctor: "he's going to be able to walk again, but it might take time..." *mumble* "and I don't know about the soccer thing, the inside of his body is too weak."
Satsuki was unsure if herself now. Even if he could walk again, his lungs might be too damaged...but she had promise him that he would see Aki and Domon in full strenghth, playing soccer. He would play again no matter what.
"Come on Ichinose! آپ can do it!"
It had been months after Ichinose's surgery and satsuki was helping him walk. He still couldn't take مزید than two steps سے طرف کی himself. He was just still too weak.
Ichinose: "Mo muri dayo," he sighed,"It's been months since the surgery and I barely can stand up سے طرف کی myself."
Satsuki felt sorry for him. For months she had worked with him so that he could walk, but there seemed to be no progress. Ichinose was losing hope, but satsuki wasn't about to give up on him.
Satsuki: "how about we take a break and have a little fresh air."
She helped Ichinose sit back down in his wheelchair and pushed him out the door.
Satsuki thought it would be good to take Ichinose to the old soccer field they used to go to with Aki and Domon. Even though she knew it would probably hurt Ichinose a little, she thought it might trigger his body to اقدام around. She led Ichinose سے طرف کی the field... Two children were playing with a soccer ball. Satsuki then saw that they were twins...
Satsuki: "umm... Ichinose kun? I'm just going to go get us a drink, okay? I'll be right back."
Satsuki escaped the field as fast as she could. For the past months she tried to hide her painful memories as much as she could. She still had blamed Ichinose's accident on herself. That also meant she still blamed herself for fubuki and atsuya's death. If she had never met them, they might still be alive... She shook her head. "live in the present," she thought...
After satsuki had left to go get the drinks, Ichinose put his head in his hands and started to cry. He longed to play soccer in order to see his دوستوں again. Satsuki was spending her time on him to help him walk, but all he could do was take two steps. What kind of progress was that? Ichinose looked at the two children playing soccer. They had now moved to the other end of the soccer field.
Ichinose: "Urayamashii"
Then, all of a sudden, one of the little kids kicked the ball to hard and hit it flying near Ichinose. The ball was now five feet away from him. He wanted to get it, but could he?
Ichinose grabbed the side of his wheelchair and started to stand up. He wobbled as he slowly lifted himself of the نشست and into the air. He stood up on his own! But he was still going. Slowly, he tried lifting his right leg up. It worked! It's as if his body finally wanted him to walk. Ichinose took a step foward and then another. His body caught a rhythm that he couldn't stop. Then he was suddenly سے طرف کی the soccer ball. He smiled with tears in his eyes. He could walk again. He bent down and picked up the ball. One of the little kids came up to him and asked for the ball. He gave it to him and turned around. As he did, سے طرف کی his wheel chair stood satsuki, her mouth wide open, gazing at
Ichinose with her bright blue eyes. He walked back to his chair and sat down. He them looked up at satsuki. She was smiling and crying.
Ichinose: "are we ready for step two?"
Satsuki laughed and nodded.
Satsuki: "step two... Kicking the ball..."
