I know what you're thinking. "oh god, here she goes again with another JKvsSK article..." but I seriously can't help myself with this one! :P
I've compared Jate and سکیٹ in general but I don't think I've compared their scenes. This is quite Kate-heavy - I wanted to دکھائیں her choices/the ways she looks at the guys, etc. Sooo, here we go!
Jate's first meeting VS Skate's first meeting.
Erm... apparently سکیٹ aren't epic enough to have their own first meeting *shrugs* let's just look at the amazingness that is the first JK scene instead (and also, check out the '5' on Kate's cheek - how much مزید fated can آپ get?! lol):
Jate's first kiss VS Skate's first kiss.
Who got their first kiss first? Skate. Who's kiss was actually worth waiting for? Yup -- Jate. But I'm gunna compare the way the couple looked at each other before the kiss instead of the actual kiss itself this time. So, the way Sawyer & Kate looked at each other before their kiss:
And now the way Jack and Kate did:
See the difference? Kate looked at Sawyer as though he was joking and Sawyer looked as though he was getting some kind of kick out of it, lol. The way they're looking at each other kinda summarizes what I think about that scene; hilarious! Now... Kate looked at Jack in a completely different way. The whole scene had a different vibe to it, آپ know? Jate's first kiss was emotional; angsty; ineedyourighthererightnow kind of thing. Skate's was like "hey, I've conned like a million women before so I'mma do it again. Come 'ere!" lol. Also, note how Kate was forced to kiss Sawyer, but she chose to kiss Jack :P
Jate's first big fight VS Skate's first big fight.
Both of these fights centered around Kate's issues (shocker! lol). Jack & Kate first argued when she lied to him about not knowing where the key to the case was. This prompted an argument between them and Kate ending up screaming at Jack. The first argument between Sawyer & Kate involved Sawyer telling everyone in camp about Kate being a fugitive. How nice of him, eh? So let's compare again:

Sawyer decided to confront Kate about her past. In front of everybody else. Skaters can call Jack a million times over, but at least he gave Kate some respect and asked her about it whilst they were alone. At least he didn't look at her like she was crap, lol. Ah... Jangst. آپ gotta love it! :P
Jate's hot scene vs Skate's hot scene
Oookay, so. Skate's most famous scene -- the cage scene. Jate's most famous hot scene -- the hallway Jex (or maybe 316, but we'll leave that one for now... lol). Let's compare, then!

Noticed something? In Sawyer and Kate's "hot", "sexy", "full of chemistry" scene Kate seems to be a little distracted, doesn't she? In the hallway Jex she was totally into it, into the moment. Content is the word I'd use. Actually happy to be there, آپ know? Kate even admitted herself that the only reason she slept with Sawyer that دن was because she thought he was going to die. Ha! Yet again, she was being forced. Was it her choice to have sex with Jack in SNBH? Absolutely. Was it her choice to have sex with Sawyer in those cages? Absolutely not.
Jate's "happy family" scene vs Skate's "let's play house" scene
As soon as Sawyer suggested "playing house" to Kate, what did she do? Oh yes, that's right. She کہا no and then slapped him. What did Kate do when Jack asked her to "play house"? Nothing - because Jack didn't ask her to اقدام in with him. It just came natural for them to be together. Let's compare the moving in scenes...

The difference is amazing, really! lol. The main point is that Kate didn't want to اقدام in with Sawyer; have a family environment with Sawyer. She spent like what, a day? at his house and couldn't take it. She spent approximately 2 years with Jack. And this is Kate we're talking about - the woman who, in "I Do" of all episodes - had to run. She married the man (Kevin) she loved and moved in with him. But, of course, she ended up running away. She ran away from Sawyer. The only man she ever felt settled with was Jack. So settled and so happy that she felt like she didn't need to run.
The Jate reunion vs the سکیٹ reunion
Lost always makes a big deal about couples reuniting, don't they? Well, they do -- but only for the major couples *cough*Sun/Jin, Jack/Kate, Des/Penny, Sayid/Nadia*cough* let's take a look at the reunions of سکیٹ and Jate! Instead of using the Jate reunion from TMFT, I've used a مزید subtle one. سکیٹ after reuniting after 3 years:
and Jate reuniting after about 30 minutes:
Okay. So. Sawyer and Kate hadn't seen each other for 3 years. That's 3 whole years. Yet Kate didn't jump into Sawyer's arms and smile with relief. She gave him a "you're fine, okay, awesome" friendly kind of hug and that was that. Let's go back to the Pilot again. Kate and Jack got separated because of Smokey. Kate screamed out Jack's name and even when Charlie refused to go back for him, refused to get himself killed, Kate was so determined to go and get Jack that she even risked her own life to look for him. And when she did, when she finally found him, well... her face says it all.
The Jate "jumping off" scene vs the سکیٹ "jumping off" scene
Two scenes which are pretty similar, here. Kate's reactions in these scenes, however, are entirely different. Let's start with Skate's, shall we? In season 4, the helicopter was running low on fuel. So Sawyer does his heroic moment سے طرف کی kissing Kate and jumping off the helicopter, into the ocean. Now Jate's. Jack didn't want to leave the island, he knew there was a greater purpose for them all. So, in season 6 he jumped off that boat, into the ocean. SK scene:

When Sawyer jumped off that helicopter, Kate hardly reacted. She looked down as he dived into the ocean and did absolutely NOTHING. Not a thing! She didn't shout at Frank and scream "wait! Sawyer just jumped! Go back!"... she just did nothing. Sure, she looked sad, but it was as though it was one of her friends that had done it. Almost like if Hurley had of jumped off, she would have had the same reaction. Sad, but not hysterical. Now, when Jack jumped off that boat, she went crazy. She shouted at Sawyer to go back for Jack and looked back at Jack in the ocean with a look of "what do I do now?!" time and time and time again, she has wanted to go back for Jack. No matter what situation, she just CANNOT leave him behind. And when she is forced to, when fate pulls them apart, she can't help but want to find him again.
