It's really easy to recycle where I live. We just have 3 separate bins - one for ALL recyclable materials (which gets sorted out by professionals), one for compost, and one for non-recyclable rubbish. I don't envy the people whose jobs it is to sort through the recyclables, but it's an easy system and has encouraged a lot of people in my neighbourhood to recycle.

We do have a recycling system, but there isn't much education on how to use it - most people don't know the small but important facts (like types of plastics that can be put in the recycle bin), and they have to actively research it to find out.

I'm from North Macedonia myself. We do have a recycling system over here now, but some people just keep ignoring it completely. It's not just a matter of education, it's much more a matter of someone's personal mentality. Did you know that some people in my neighborhood burn all the paper, instead of recycling it properly? We finally got our own recycling bins for sorting out different types of recyclable materials, but you know what they say; you can give someone a bin, and a free brochure, yet some people just don't care about recycling. I always recycle, but my neighbors don't. They say paper is meant to burn to heat up their homes, I say paper can be used again after the recycling. The problem is that no law on earth can ever make people recycle. It's still a matter of personal decision where I come from. We don't have any legal sanctions against those who refuse to recycle. I think there should be some sanctions to make people change their mind and start recycling.

We do have some recycling depots over here, in my home town, but most people around here don't use any of those.

As I said before, it's a matter of our mentality.

I forgot to mention that we only recently got the separate bins for recycling. First, it was our capital, and now my own home town.

The Balkans mentality. That's our biggest problem.
