Rustpaw’s ears drooped, a few tears slid down his cheeks. Leaftail felt bad for the small Eevee. She walked over closer to him, and nuzzled Rustpaw.
“It’ll be all right… There’s still hope… Here, have a berry from my pouch. I handcrafted this bag سے طرف کی myself. There, now doesn’t that taste good?”
“I never thought there was such delicious food in the world! Thank آپ so much!” replied Rustpaw happily.
“I wish I could stay longer, Rustpaw, but I have to go.”
“Why?”
“Well, because, um, promise to never tell anybody about this alright, but um…”
Leaftail started explaining her dreams, and about her destiny, doubtful that the Eevee would understand.
“I understand.”
How in the world…
“I get dreams, and I mean ones like yours. I’m standing in the middle of the ocean, I’m evolved into Vaporeon, and a voice is echoing around me. It says ‘Watery graves never happen. Water grow plants, living plants, the ultimate Pokémon, the nature spirit. They meet, and they help each other, they are friends. Darkness had spread over the plant, making it wither with sorrow. But you, Rustpaw, will heal the nature spirit, and will learn the meaning of happiness.’ I suspect that nature spirit meant you.”
What? Well, I guess it does make some sense…
“I guess… I guess you’re right.”
“Well, let’s go then!”
“Where?”
“I’m coming with آپ on your journey.”
Chapter #15: Kids Rule
“What?! آپ are far too young, Rustpaw, آپ could die out there!”
“I won’t unless my dreams are failing me. If they aren’t failing you, why me? So why would I die? ‘Watery graves never happen.’ If I evolve into Vaporeon, I won’t die, will I?”
“Ok, but I need to ask your parents first,” stated Leaftail.
“Trust me, they’ll say yes. They don’t want me around. آپ might as well adopt me,” کہا Rustpaw quietly.
Rustpaw ate a Pecha Berry from one of the bushes along the edges of the walls, and then followed Leaftail out of the den.
“My parents’ ماند, خلوت خانہ is right over there,” کہا Rustpaw as he pointed to the left with his nose.
As Rustpaw led the way, Leaftail followed. Rustpaw seemed excited, and Leaftail did not know why. He was facing his parents and asking their permission to do something, and if they کہا no, Rustpaw would have a giant argument. Saying how mean those parents sounded, that would not be good.
“Rustpaw, are آپ sure آپ want to come?” asked Leaftail.
“Yes,” replied Rustpaw.
They crossed the clearing. Leaftail looked at the parents. The mother was an Umbreon, and the dad was a Flareon.
“Mom, can I go with Leaftail on her journey?” asked Rustpaw.
That was the most terrible way to state it, thought Leaftail.
“ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!” yelled the parents.
“But why…” asked Rustpaw sadly.
“First, آپ won’t be here to do our chores and work. Second, that Leaftail girl is a brat!”
Rustpaw bristled when the parents called Leaftail a brat.
“NO SHE IS NOT!!! I TALKED TO HER, AND آپ KNOW WHAT? SHE’S BEEN THROUGH A LOT, SO I DON’T CARE WHAT آپ SAY! HOW COULD آپ BE SO PREJUDICE?!!” screamed Rustpaw angrily.
Leaftail saw this as a very bad moment, so she stepped in.
“I’m not a brat,” کہا Leaftail, irritated, “and if آپ won’t let him go just because he does all your work, maybe آپ shouldn’t be parents!”
“It’s not yours to say, brat. Children are mischievous, little demons who are so small that they do whatever آپ say. They don’t have souls!”
Leaftail fell into rage after hearing the comments.
“Say yes یا I will hurt both of you.”
“No. And what could آپ do against Flareon?”
Leaftail was so enraged. Pain spiked through her tail. Just like the fight with Venusaur, her tail turned sharp and bladed. It stayed. Anger penetrated Leaftail’s body, and she lashed out her tail at the parents, swerving it in a way that knocked them into the clearing.
Rustpaw whispered, “Go Leaftail,” quietly as Leaftail exited the den, prepared for a fight.
The Flareon was already up, the Umbreon not.
“Ready for me?” mocked the Flareon.
“Yeah, آپ start,” Leaftail کہا back.
The Flareon moved to a sandy spot, then swerved its tail and used Sand Attack. Leaftail thought quickly and flipped her tail in front of her face. The sand hit her tail and fell off. Her tail burned a little, because the sand was hot, but it didn’t do much damage to her physical being.
“Sand Attack? Pfftt. Won’t work on me.”
The Flareon, clearly annoyed that his blinding attack didn’t work, growled. Then he opened his mouth. The back of his throat glistened a bright مالٹا, نارنگی and red. Leaftail still had the blades on her feet, and she quickly avoided where the Flareon was aiming. The Flamethrower missed, and as it blazed to Leaftail’s right, Leaftail bolted as quickly as she could up to the Flareon and used Leaf Blade with her new sharp tail. The Flareon yelped in pain. It put a long cut on his face, and cut off some of the Flareon’s mane.
The Umbreon heard the scream and quickly opened her eyes. She tried to stand, but couldn’t. The mother was apparently low on training and weak. The Flareon did not notice that his love was trying to get up and help. He was too focused on the scarlet blood dripping from his cheek and onto his mane.
The Flareon couldn’t help yelling, “That stings!”
“Who’s a crybaby today?” mocked Leaftail.
Leaftail used the time to glance around the clearing. All the Pokémon were cheering for the Flareon, all except Rustpaw. He was loudly exclaiming Leaftail’s name into the air. Leaftail winked at him, and then turned back to her opponent. The right side of the Flareon’s mane had red dots all over it. The cut on his face was slowly stopping its bleeding. The Flareon flinched as a few مزید drops of blood dropped from his face. The bleeding stopped.
“Eh he he… Why didn’t آپ use that time to attack me? That was foolish.”
“Why not make your pain longer?”
The Flareon did not respond, but started charging at Leaftail. He was gaining, but right as he was a few inches away from Leaftail, Leaftail jumped over him. Leaftail turned in mid air. She landed on the Flareon’s back, front claws unsheathed. They pierced the Flareon’s pelt.
“Yowl!!!!!!” cried the Flareon.
The Umbreon mother could not stand her love being hurt any longer. She summoned all her strength to get up. Leaftail did not notice. She sunk her teeth into the Flareon’s ear. The Flareon, having taken so much pain, thought quickly and rolled over, pinning Leaftail down. The crimson blood from the Flareon’s torn ear fell onto Leaftail’s coat.
The Flareon opened its mouth, and the مالٹا, نارنگی glow appeared in his throat again. He was going to shoot a full powered Flamethrower into Leaftail’s whole body. Leaftail had a mind, though, and she swung her tail in front of her and then slashed the Flareon’s stomach with it. He was sent flying backwards, and his Flamethrower stopped charging.
The Flareon was not moving.
Have I killed him?
Leaftail was just about to go over and find out, when the Umbreon blocked her way. She looked like she had used Moonlight several times to restore her health.
“If آپ want to kill him, you’re going to have to kill me first!”
Ok, so he’s not dead.
The Umbreon started to glow a mysterious blue aura around her. Leaftail was confused, she had never seen that attack before, یا had she? Anyway, Leaftail did not recognize the attack. Zaap!! Leaftail’s mind suddenly went blank. She lost all her senses.
Leaftail’s mind suddenly awakened again, and she found herself flying into a tree. Luckily, she reacted quickly, used her tail as a defense and landed softly in front of the tree. The Umbreon looked startled.
I need to be careful, this Umbreon knows Psychic moves!
The Umbreon started to attempt Psychic again. Leaftail quickly avoided the Umbreon’s gaze. Then she charged toward her and lashed out her unsheathed claws. they hit the Umbreon’s side. The Umbreon flinched a little bit, even with long gashes on her side.
That’s all? No scream? This Umbreon’s tough!
Leaftail was still standing اگلے to the Umbreon. Then suddenly, the Umbreon kicked out with her claws unsheathed also. She was pushed away. Short wounds penetrated Leaftail’s cheek and nose. Her cream colored فر, سمور was soon becoming red. Some blood fell into Leaftail’s nose. She could smell the strong, salty, sickening smell of it.
“Ugh,” Leaftail forced a smile, “nice one.”
“Th-Thanks,” replied the Umbreon as she flinched a little bit.
The red liquid on the Umbreon’s فر, سمور was barely noticeable, as her pelt was black.
Leaftail looked away and tried to wash her فر, سمور سے طرف کی rubbing it. The Umbreon used Psychic. Once again, Leaftail’s mind shut down. She woke to a lot of pain. The Umbreon had used enough power to keep the Psychic going until Leaftail hit whatever she had made contact with. Leaftail noticed her back was bruised and her tail was a little dented.
“That is it!!!” yelled Leaftail into the air.
Ignoring the pain, she charged an unnoticeable Hyper Beam, and then shot it at the already weakened Umbreon. The Umbreon fell, and did not move.
Suddenly, a Chansey came over to the battlefield and checked the Umbreon’s and Flareon’s pulses. They must have been too low and unusual, because it picked them up and hurried toward it’s herbs. Pokémon were glaring at Leaftail. Rustpaw dashed up to Leaftail.
“Come on Leaftail, let’s go.” he whispered, and they set off into the trees.
Chapter #16: Vaporeon
Rustpaw was ahead of Leaftail سے طرف کی a long shot.
“Rustpaw, wait up!” called Leaftail while panting.
Rustpaw stopped moving. Leaftail caught up.
“I can’t go any further with my wounds. They’re still bleeding too…”
Leaftail’s cheek was still shedding red liquid, and her nose was pure scarlet. The bruises on her back hurt every step she took, and her dented tail stung. She looked behind her, and a path of crimson dots was laid out on the ground.
“Oh no! That’s a path that leads the others straight toward us!”
“Should I try to clean it up?” suggested Rustpaw.
“Of course not! Going all the way back and then traveling here again could take days! But I do have an idea.”
Leaftail gave Rustpaw instructions. Leaftail walked left and right, creating left and right paths from where she stood, creating مزید dots of blood. Then she rolled in some strong smelling plants and hid her scent. Rustpaw hid his scent too, then, as Leaftail walked forward, Rustpaw cleaned blood of the floor with his waving tail, making the tip of it چیری, آلو بالو instead of white.
“Leaftail, stop, I’m too tired.” کہا Rustpaw, exhausted.
“You know, you’re right. Let’s find a place to sleep for tonight.” replied Leaftail.
They found a fortunate place سے طرف کی a cool lake. The water was crystal clear. The breeze felt nice around Leaftail’s ears. Rustpaw found a shady place under a tree. Then he looked at Leaftail, about to say “come here,” but stopped short.
After a short silence, he remarked, “Hey, your cuts have stopped bleeding. Thank Eeveeon, that tail swishing is tiring.”
Leaftail trotted over to the tree. Rustpaw and she settled down.
“Who’s Eeveeon?” asked Leaftail.
“You don’t know the tale of Eeveeon? Wow. It’s an Eeveelution legend!”
“Really?”
“Yes. When Arceus made the Pokémon world, he did not make us Eeveelutions and Eevee’s. We were never known of. Then a Pokémon made of the spirits of the stars, not Arceus’ creations, came to our world. It shot down on a shooting star. That Pokémon was genderless. It was like a legendary. It was a mix of all of us, Eevee, Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, and Glaceon. This spectacular Pokémon sacrificed itself and separated into the Eevee family, with each two being the opposite genders. Those Pokémon became mates and gave life to مزید Eevee’s. That happened thousands of years ago, so now there are so many Eevee’s. If آپ would excuse me, I would like to go to sleep.”
Rustpaw rolled over. Soon Leaftail heard snoring. Leaftail fell asleep a little while afterwards.
“Frostshard?” Leaftail called out.
Leaftail was dreaming. She walked up to the familiar lake. The landscape was familiar, too. Leaftail sat down. She waited, expecting Frostshard to pop out. A بش rustled اگلے to her and, splash, Leaftail was pushed into the lake. She swam to the surface, and the اگلے moment Frostshard’s icy blue head appeared. He was laughing.
“Bet آپ can’t get me!” teased Frostshard as he swam around the pool.
“Oh yes I can!” replied Leaftail, and then she started chasing Frostshard.
The opposite side of the lake had very tall grass, and it shook. Frostshard and Leaftail froze. Frostshard was the first to sniff the air.
“What do آپ smell?” asked Leaftail.
“…I don’t know…” replied Frostshard.
They both swam to ساحل and tensed their muscles, ready to attack. Suddenly a furry brown head poked out of the grass. Frostshard dashed toward it.
“Stop!” cried Leaftail.
“What?!” replied Frostshard. He stopped dead.
The terrified creature backed away when Leaftail got near it. Leaftail surveyed the creature.
“Rustpaw?” she asked quietly.
“Leaftail?”
“How did آپ get here? This is a dream, and umm…” Leaftail’s voice trailed off and she stared at Frostshard, feeling embarrassed.
Leaftail blinked, and her eyes opened back upon the درخت Rustpaw and she had been sleeping at.
Rustpaw was also awake, her eyes sparkling in the reflection of the pale sun. He was standing up, looking a bit appalled. Leaftail stood, looking the same way.
“I-who-Rustpaw?” Leaftail staggered
“I-I don’t know… I fell asleep and I was in the middle of a clearing and I smelled آپ and-and I followed you…” Rustpaw shuffled his feet.
“Wait, smelled us? آپ mean سے طرف کی scent?”
“Yes.”
“But we were in the water!”
Rustpaw just shrugged. Then he beckoned Leaftail over to the lake اگلے to the tree.
“Yes?” asked Leaftail.
All of a sudden Rustpaw pushed Leaftail into the water and he کبوتر in after her. Then they both swam to the surface and squirted the water out of their mouths, both laughing.

Suddenly Rustpaw stopped laughing and he lifted his nose into the air. After that, blue light emanated from Leaftail’s and Rustpaw’s body.
“Umm… Rustpaw?” nervously asked Leaftail.
Rustpaw did not answer; he just put his head under the water, without taking a gulp of air first. Leaftail undid Frostshard’s bind on her back. Then Leaftail did the same, trusting Rustpaw with her life. Strangely, Leaftail could breath underwater. Gloomy darkness echoed beyond Leaftail, like a dark mist ready to come and نگلنا her up. She saw the tip of Rustpaw’s tail disappear into the darkness. Leaftail gave chase. Pushing her hind legs behind her, Leaftail started pushing forward.
“Rustpaw!” called Leaftail in a muffled voice. No answer.
“Rustpaw!” she called again. Still no answer.
Leaftail, worried now, swam faster and faster. Eventually, she caught up with Rustpaw. Leaftail, swimming اگلے to him, asked, “Rustpaw?”
Rustpaw still did not reply. Leaftail looked at his eyes. Then were distant as if he were in a different world. Leaftail looked at what he was supposedly staring at. Something that emanated with blue light penetrated the dark mist, and even though Leaftail had adjusted to the blackness, the light made it easier. Rustpaw kept swimming and swimming until… Whack! Rustpaw got hit سے طرف کی something ultra fast and he plunged into the darkness at the left. Leaftail tried to spot the attacker, but it was nowhere to be seen. Leaftail thought she saw movement, all of a sudden. She squinted her eyes. Something faint outlined against the endless waters. It took the shape of a Vaporeon. Rustpaw came back out of the mist, his side bruised. He stared at the she-Vaporeon, as if waiting for something. Then the Vaporeon spoke, “Any who wish to use the sacred Water Stone must prove themselves worthy!” she cried.
Rustpaw did not move. His eyes seemed a little blue. His legs seemed مزید swimming-created all of a sudden. Leaftail didn’t think that was there before. Then Rustpaw yowled, muffled, and then he shot a full blown Hyper Beam at the Vaporeon. It flew backwards, and out of sight. A faint sound hit Leaftail’s pointed ears: “You are worthy!” The sound faded away. Rustpaw, his side still bruised, began swimming to the Water Stone again.
Where did Rustpaw learn Hyper Beam, wondered Leaftail.
Her gaze was set on Rustpaw’s small, brown, furry body. Then Leaftail saw Rustpaw touch his front right paw to the Water Stone. At first nothing happened, but then Rustpaw turned into a brilliant white light that seemed to blind Leaftail. When Leaftail re-opened her eyes, Rustpaw was gone. Then she found that it was hard for her to breathe. She quickly swam to the surface, eyes watering, if that was still possible. When she did break the surface, Rustpaw was nowhere to be seen. Still worried, Leaftail decided to swim back to the tree. It took her a while, but eventually she was a few yards away, and that’s when she noticed a blue figure sitting on the bank.
Leaftail set her paws on the solid ground. It felt good to have earth under her feet. Then she stared at the blue figure, which was a Vaporeon.
“Where’s Rustpaw?!” she demanded.
“Why, I’m right here, Leaftail,” replied the Vaporeon.
“Rustpaw?” questioned Leaftail, sniffing him closely.
“Rustpaw!” she finally exclaimed. The scent of him was slightly مزید of salt water, but his Eevee scent still lingered a little bit. Leaftail nuzzled him.
“Why did آپ go?” she asked.
“Um… I didn’t…”
“But, I couldn’t see آپ anywhere!”
“I think that’s because Vaporeon’s have the ability to ‘melt’ in water.”
Leaftail nodded and then looked at Rustpaw’s body. It was blue, and it reflected against the sun giving it a shine. Scales shimmered down his back reaching the end of his tail. Swimming muscles outlined his legs and his clear blue eyes were magnificent. Leaftail could see her reflection in them. Medium sized fins were placed on the sides and the سب, سب سے اوپر of his head. White fins circled his wondrous face.
So beautiful… thought Leaftail towards the magnificent creature Rustpaw had become.
Rustpaw was a Vaporeon now.
Chapter #17: Ambushed
Leaftail began to fill her sack again, then carefully wrapping the plants around it, again. Lastly, she strapped Frostshard back to her back. Rustpaw was taking a short drink at the lake. Once Leaftail was finished, she did the same. The water was clear and cool, and as Leaftail lapped the water onto her tongue it was surprisingly calming. Then out of the corner of her eye, Leaftail saw Rustpaw lift his head.
“Rustpaw?” asked Leaftail. She had lifted her head also.
“Just, sometimes I wish I could change my name…” he replied, “Rustpaw, Rustpaw. Rust! Like that’s a pretty name. I still hate my mother… She named me after rust?!”
“Rustpaw, I-I,” staggered Leaftail, “I can be your new mother, یا stepmother perhaps.”
“You’d do that for me?” asked Rustpaw eagerly.
“Yes. Do آپ want a new name?”
“Yes!”
“Then what will it be?” asked Rustpaw.
“You choose.”
“No, you.”
“Ok, fine. Hmm…” Leaftail’s voice trailed off, lost in thought. Then she exclaimed, “Blueriver!”
“Blueriver! Yes, I really like that name. And it matches me too,” کہا Blueriver happily, looking down at his body.
“Yes, yes it does.”
Leaftail and Blueriver waited until midnight to continue moving. They slept during the day, and traveled at night. That way most of the other Pokémon would be sleeping. It was midnight, and light footsteps penetrated the peace and quiet of the forest.
Something sharp hit the سب, سب سے اوپر of Leaftail’s head. Leaftail reacted quickly; she threw Frostshard to the side and then rolled over. Once she had rolled all the way, the enemy was thrown off and was lying اگلے to Leaftail. Leaftail looked at her attacker, and Rustpaw was doing the same.
Suddenly Leaftail exclaimed, “Mother?!”
Sure enough, Leaftail’s step mom was on the ground.
“Leaftail,” she murmured, “prepare yourself.”
As if on cue, Absol, Plusle, Minun, and Blueriver’s parents jumped out of the tall undergrowth.
“I see Rustpaw has evolved, into, into, a Vaporeon,” The Umbreon pronounced the word ‘Vaporeon’ in a mocking tone.
“My name is Blueriver now!” yowled Blueriver, and then he lunged at his mother. Soon Blueriver and his parents were locked in an on-going tussle.
Plusle and Minun jumped on the sharp blade on Absol’s head. Absol then swung it, throwing Plusle and Minun in Leaftail’s direction. Plusle and Minun were sparked up and Leaftail was about to take a serious electrifying. But then she swiftly moved to the side and the Plusle and Minun both slammed into a tree, left with their ears bleeding. Absol yowled and he charged towards the Plusle and Minun. Leaftail had no idea what was happening until… Bam! Absol turned when he was right اگلے to Leaftail and slammed into her side. Dazed, Leaftail saw a blurry image of Absol picking up Frostshard. At that moment, Leaftail got to her feet and tackled Absol. He was flown backwards and then Leaftail slashed his black nose. Absol shrieked in pain and then slashed at Leaftail, only to hit thin air. Leaftail skipped backwards. Then Absol got to his feet and jumped onto the Leaftail, and soon she was pinned to the ground. Leaftail naturally rolled over onto her side. Absol and Leaftail were locked in a tussle.
Leaftail tried to nip at Absol’s paw, but he swung it backwards and then lunged it up again, creating a vertical cut across Leaftail’s face. The pain overwhelmed Lefatil and her vision was clouded with red blood. Leaftail randomly swung her teeth forward, and her teeth caught on flesh. She bit harder. Absol seemed to lose breath. He ripped away, scurrying into the bushes, lost skin out of his neck still caught in Leaftail’s jaw. Leaftail blinked the blood out of her eyes and tried to ignore the pain. She then ran over to the Plusle and Minun, giving them a Leaf Blade that sent them running. Blood kept selling in her eyes and it was annoying. She ran over to help Blueriver. He was losing, many short gashes lined along his flank. Leaftail leapt into battle, tackling the Umbreon. She shot a Bullet Seed into her stomach then scratched her neck. It was easy, since Umbreon was on the ground and she was already weakened. Coughing up red liquid, the Umbreon fled. A lot of yelping hinted that Blueriver had sent the Flareon running. Leaftail glanced at Blueriver for a second, and she was right. Then her eye vision got blurry, and مزید blood welled out of the long wound on her face, turning her cream فر, سمور a dark red. She collapsed, and the last thing she saw was Blueriver running toward her.

“But why…” asked Rustpaw sadly.
“First, آپ won’t be here to do our chores and work. Second, that Leaftail girl is a brat!”
Rustpaw bristled when the parents called Leaftail a brat.
“NO SHE IS NOT!!! I TALKED TO HER, AND آپ KNOW WHAT? SHE’S BEEN THROUGH A LOT, SO I DON’T CARE WHAT آپ SAY! HOW COULD آپ BE SO PREJUDICE?!!” screamed Rustpaw angrily.
Leaftail saw this as a very bad moment, so she stepped in.
“I’m not a brat,” کہا Leaftail, irritated, “and if آپ won’t let him go just because he does all your work, maybe آپ shouldn’t be parents!”
“It’s not yours to say, brat. Children are mischievous, little demons who are so small that they do whatever آپ say. They don’t have souls!”
Leaftail fell into rage after hearing the comments.
“Say yes یا I will hurt both of you.”
“No. And what could آپ do against Flareon?”
Leaftail was so enraged. Pain spiked through her tail. Just like the fight with Venusaur, her tail turned sharp and bladed. It stayed. Anger penetrated Leaftail’s body, and she lashed out her tail at the parents, swerving it in a way that knocked them into the clearing.
Rustpaw whispered, “Go Leaftail,” quietly as Leaftail exited the den, prepared for a fight.
The Flareon was already up, the Umbreon not.
“Ready for me?” mocked the Flareon.
“Yeah, آپ start,” Leaftail کہا back.
The Flareon moved to a sandy spot, then swerved its tail and used Sand Attack. Leaftail thought quickly and flipped her tail in front of her face. The sand hit her tail and fell off. Her tail burned a little, because the sand was hot, but it didn’t do much damage to her physical being.
“Sand Attack? Pfftt. Won’t work on me.”
The Flareon, clearly annoyed that his blinding attack didn’t work, growled. Then he opened his mouth. The back of his throat glistened a bright مالٹا, نارنگی and red. Leaftail still had the blades on her feet, and she quickly avoided where the Flareon was aiming. The Flamethrower missed, and as it blazed to Leaftail’s right, Leaftail bolted as quickly as she could up to the Flareon and used Leaf Blade with her new sharp tail. The Flareon yelped in pain. It put a long cut on his face, and cut off some of the Flareon’s mane.
The Umbreon heard the scream and quickly opened her eyes. She tried to stand, but couldn’t. The mother was apparently low on training and weak. The Flareon did not notice that his love was trying to get up and help. He was too focused on the scarlet blood dripping from his cheek and onto his mane.
The Flareon couldn’t help yelling, “That stings!”
“Who’s a crybaby today?” mocked Leaftail.
Leaftail used the time to glance around the clearing. All the Pokémon were cheering for the Flareon, all except Rustpaw. He was loudly exclaiming Leaftail’s name into the air. Leaftail winked at him, and then turned back to her opponent. The right side of the Flareon’s mane had red dots all over it. The cut on his face was slowly stopping its bleeding. The Flareon flinched as a few مزید drops of blood dropped from his face. The bleeding stopped.
“Eh he he… Why didn’t آپ use that time to attack me? That was foolish.”
“Why not make your pain longer?”
The Flareon did not respond, but started charging at Leaftail. He was gaining, but right as he was a few inches away from Leaftail, Leaftail jumped over him. Leaftail turned in mid air. She landed on the Flareon’s back, front claws unsheathed. They pierced the Flareon’s pelt.
“Yowl!!!!!!” cried the Flareon.
The Umbreon mother could not stand her love being hurt any longer. She summoned all her strength to get up. Leaftail did not notice. She sunk her teeth into the Flareon’s ear. The Flareon, having taken so much pain, thought quickly and rolled over, pinning Leaftail down. The crimson blood from the Flareon’s torn ear fell onto Leaftail’s coat.
The Flareon opened its mouth, and the مالٹا, نارنگی glow appeared in his throat again. He was going to shoot a full powered Flamethrower into Leaftail’s whole body. Leaftail had a mind, though, and she swung her tail in front of her and then slashed the Flareon’s stomach with it. He was sent flying backwards, and his Flamethrower stopped charging.
The Flareon was not moving.
Have I killed him?
Leaftail was just about to go over and find out, when the Umbreon blocked her way. She looked like she had used Moonlight several times to restore her health.
“If آپ want to kill him, you’re going to have to kill me first!”
Ok, so he’s not dead.
The Umbreon started to glow a mysterious blue aura around her. Leaftail was confused, she had never seen that attack before, یا had she? Anyway, Leaftail did not recognize the attack. Zaap!! Leaftail’s mind suddenly went blank. She lost all her senses.
Leaftail’s mind suddenly awakened again, and she found herself flying into a tree. Luckily, she reacted quickly, used her tail as a defense and landed softly in front of the tree. The Umbreon looked startled.
I need to be careful, this Umbreon knows Psychic moves!
The Umbreon started to attempt Psychic again. Leaftail quickly avoided the Umbreon’s gaze. Then she charged toward her and lashed out her unsheathed claws. they hit the Umbreon’s side. The Umbreon flinched a little bit, even with long gashes on her side.
That’s all? No scream? This Umbreon’s tough!
Leaftail was still standing اگلے to the Umbreon. Then suddenly, the Umbreon kicked out with her claws unsheathed also. She was pushed away. Short wounds penetrated Leaftail’s cheek and nose. Her cream colored فر, سمور was soon becoming red. Some blood fell into Leaftail’s nose. She could smell the strong, salty, sickening smell of it.
“Ugh,” Leaftail forced a smile, “nice one.”
“Th-Thanks,” replied the Umbreon as she flinched a little bit.
The red liquid on the Umbreon’s فر, سمور was barely noticeable, as her pelt was black.
Leaftail looked away and tried to wash her فر, سمور سے طرف کی rubbing it. The Umbreon used Psychic. Once again, Leaftail’s mind shut down. She woke to a lot of pain. The Umbreon had used enough power to keep the Psychic going until Leaftail hit whatever she had made contact with. Leaftail noticed her back was bruised and her tail was a little dented.
“That is it!!!” yelled Leaftail into the air.
Ignoring the pain, she charged an unnoticeable Hyper Beam, and then shot it at the already weakened Umbreon. The Umbreon fell, and did not move.
Suddenly, a Chansey came over to the battlefield and checked the Umbreon’s and Flareon’s pulses. They must have been too low and unusual, because it picked them up and hurried toward it’s herbs. Pokémon were glaring at Leaftail. Rustpaw dashed up to Leaftail.
“Come on Leaftail, let’s go.” he whispered, and they set off into the trees.
Chapter #16: Vaporeon
Rustpaw was ahead of Leaftail سے طرف کی a long shot.
“Rustpaw, wait up!” called Leaftail while panting.
Rustpaw stopped moving. Leaftail caught up.
“I can’t go any further with my wounds. They’re still bleeding too…”
Leaftail’s cheek was still shedding red liquid, and her nose was pure scarlet. The bruises on her back hurt every step she took, and her dented tail stung. She looked behind her, and a path of crimson dots was laid out on the ground.
“Oh no! That’s a path that leads the others straight toward us!”
“Should I try to clean it up?” suggested Rustpaw.
“Of course not! Going all the way back and then traveling here again could take days! But I do have an idea.”
Leaftail gave Rustpaw instructions. Leaftail walked left and right, creating left and right paths from where she stood, creating مزید dots of blood. Then she rolled in some strong smelling plants and hid her scent. Rustpaw hid his scent too, then, as Leaftail walked forward, Rustpaw cleaned blood of the floor with his waving tail, making the tip of it چیری, آلو بالو instead of white.
“Leaftail, stop, I’m too tired.” کہا Rustpaw, exhausted.
“You know, you’re right. Let’s find a place to sleep for tonight.” replied Leaftail.
They found a fortunate place سے طرف کی a cool lake. The water was crystal clear. The breeze felt nice around Leaftail’s ears. Rustpaw found a shady place under a tree. Then he looked at Leaftail, about to say “come here,” but stopped short.
After a short silence, he remarked, “Hey, your cuts have stopped bleeding. Thank Eeveeon, that tail swishing is tiring.”
Leaftail trotted over to the tree. Rustpaw and she settled down.
“Who’s Eeveeon?” asked Leaftail.
“You don’t know the tale of Eeveeon? Wow. It’s an Eeveelution legend!”
“Really?”
“Yes. When Arceus made the Pokémon world, he did not make us Eeveelutions and Eevee’s. We were never known of. Then a Pokémon made of the spirits of the stars, not Arceus’ creations, came to our world. It shot down on a shooting star. That Pokémon was genderless. It was like a legendary. It was a mix of all of us, Eevee, Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, and Glaceon. This spectacular Pokémon sacrificed itself and separated into the Eevee family, with each two being the opposite genders. Those Pokémon became mates and gave life to مزید Eevee’s. That happened thousands of years ago, so now there are so many Eevee’s. If آپ would excuse me, I would like to go to sleep.”
Rustpaw rolled over. Soon Leaftail heard snoring. Leaftail fell asleep a little while afterwards.
“Frostshard?” Leaftail called out.
Leaftail was dreaming. She walked up to the familiar lake. The landscape was familiar, too. Leaftail sat down. She waited, expecting Frostshard to pop out. A بش rustled اگلے to her and, splash, Leaftail was pushed into the lake. She swam to the surface, and the اگلے moment Frostshard’s icy blue head appeared. He was laughing.
“Bet آپ can’t get me!” teased Frostshard as he swam around the pool.
“Oh yes I can!” replied Leaftail, and then she started chasing Frostshard.
The opposite side of the lake had very tall grass, and it shook. Frostshard and Leaftail froze. Frostshard was the first to sniff the air.
“What do آپ smell?” asked Leaftail.
“…I don’t know…” replied Frostshard.
They both swam to ساحل and tensed their muscles, ready to attack. Suddenly a furry brown head poked out of the grass. Frostshard dashed toward it.
“Stop!” cried Leaftail.
“What?!” replied Frostshard. He stopped dead.
The terrified creature backed away when Leaftail got near it. Leaftail surveyed the creature.
“Rustpaw?” she asked quietly.
“Leaftail?”
“How did آپ get here? This is a dream, and umm…” Leaftail’s voice trailed off and she stared at Frostshard, feeling embarrassed.
Leaftail blinked, and her eyes opened back upon the درخت Rustpaw and she had been sleeping at.
Rustpaw was also awake, her eyes sparkling in the reflection of the pale sun. He was standing up, looking a bit appalled. Leaftail stood, looking the same way.
“I-who-Rustpaw?” Leaftail staggered
“I-I don’t know… I fell asleep and I was in the middle of a clearing and I smelled آپ and-and I followed you…” Rustpaw shuffled his feet.
“Wait, smelled us? آپ mean سے طرف کی scent?”
“Yes.”
“But we were in the water!”
Rustpaw just shrugged. Then he beckoned Leaftail over to the lake اگلے to the tree.
“Yes?” asked Leaftail.
All of a sudden Rustpaw pushed Leaftail into the water and he کبوتر in after her. Then they both swam to the surface and squirted the water out of their mouths, both laughing.
“Rustpaw-” Leaftail was broke off سے طرف کی an episode of laughter.
Suddenly Rustpaw stopped laughing and he lifted his nose into the air. After that, blue light emanated from Leaftail’s and Rustpaw’s body.
“Umm… Rustpaw?” nervously asked Leaftail.
Rustpaw did not answer; he just put his head under the water, without taking a gulp of air first. Leaftail undid Frostshard’s bind on her back. Then Leaftail did the same, trusting Rustpaw with her life. Strangely, Leaftail could breath underwater. Gloomy darkness echoed beyond Leaftail, like a dark mist ready to come and نگلنا her up. She saw the tip of Rustpaw’s tail disappear into the darkness. Leaftail gave chase. Pushing her hind legs behind her, Leaftail started pushing forward.
“Rustpaw!” called Leaftail in a muffled voice. No answer.
“Rustpaw!” she called again. Still no answer.
Leaftail, worried now, swam faster and faster. Eventually, she caught up with Rustpaw. Leaftail, swimming اگلے to him, asked, “Rustpaw?”
Rustpaw still did not reply. Leaftail looked at his eyes. Then were distant as if he were in a different world. Leaftail looked at what he was supposedly staring at. Something that emanated with blue light penetrated the dark mist, and even though Leaftail had adjusted to the blackness, the light made it easier. Rustpaw kept swimming and swimming until… Whack! Rustpaw got hit سے طرف کی something ultra fast and he plunged into the darkness at the left. Leaftail tried to spot the attacker, but it was nowhere to be seen. Leaftail thought she saw movement, all of a sudden. She squinted her eyes. Something faint outlined against the endless waters. It took the shape of a Vaporeon. Rustpaw came back out of the mist, his side bruised. He stared at the she-Vaporeon, as if waiting for something. Then the Vaporeon spoke, “Any who wish to use the sacred Water Stone must prove themselves worthy!” she cried.
Rustpaw did not move. His eyes seemed a little blue. His legs seemed مزید swimming-created all of a sudden. Leaftail didn’t think that was there before. Then Rustpaw yowled, muffled, and then he shot a full blown Hyper Beam at the Vaporeon. It flew backwards, and out of sight. A faint sound hit Leaftail’s pointed ears: “You are worthy!” The sound faded away. Rustpaw, his side still bruised, began swimming to the Water Stone again.
Where did Rustpaw learn Hyper Beam, wondered Leaftail.
Her gaze was set on Rustpaw’s small, brown, furry body. Then Leaftail saw Rustpaw touch his front right paw to the Water Stone. At first nothing happened, but then Rustpaw turned into a brilliant white light that seemed to blind Leaftail. When Leaftail re-opened her eyes, Rustpaw was gone. Then she found that it was hard for her to breathe. She quickly swam to the surface, eyes watering, if that was still possible. When she did break the surface, Rustpaw was nowhere to be seen. Still worried, Leaftail decided to swim back to the tree. It took her a while, but eventually she was a few yards away, and that’s when she noticed a blue figure sitting on the bank.
Leaftail set her paws on the solid ground. It felt good to have earth under her feet. Then she stared at the blue figure, which was a Vaporeon.
“Where’s Rustpaw?!” she demanded.
“Why, I’m right here, Leaftail,” replied the Vaporeon.
“Rustpaw?” questioned Leaftail, sniffing him closely.
“Rustpaw!” she finally exclaimed. The scent of him was slightly مزید of salt water, but his Eevee scent still lingered a little bit. Leaftail nuzzled him.
“Why did آپ go?” she asked.
“Um… I didn’t…”
“But, I couldn’t see آپ anywhere!”
“I think that’s because Vaporeon’s have the ability to ‘melt’ in water.”
Leaftail nodded and then looked at Rustpaw’s body. It was blue, and it reflected against the sun giving it a shine. Scales shimmered down his back reaching the end of his tail. Swimming muscles outlined his legs and his clear blue eyes were magnificent. Leaftail could see her reflection in them. Medium sized fins were placed on the sides and the سب, سب سے اوپر of his head. White fins circled his wondrous face.
So beautiful… thought Leaftail towards the magnificent creature Rustpaw had become.
Rustpaw was a Vaporeon now.
Chapter #17: Ambushed
Leaftail began to fill her sack again, then carefully wrapping the plants around it, again. Lastly, she strapped Frostshard back to her back. Rustpaw was taking a short drink at the lake. Once Leaftail was finished, she did the same. The water was clear and cool, and as Leaftail lapped the water onto her tongue it was surprisingly calming. Then out of the corner of her eye, Leaftail saw Rustpaw lift his head.
“Rustpaw?” asked Leaftail. She had lifted her head also.
“Just, sometimes I wish I could change my name…” he replied, “Rustpaw, Rustpaw. Rust! Like that’s a pretty name. I still hate my mother… She named me after rust?!”
“Rustpaw, I-I,” staggered Leaftail, “I can be your new mother, یا stepmother perhaps.”
“You’d do that for me?” asked Rustpaw eagerly.
“Yes. Do آپ want a new name?”
“Yes!”
“Then what will it be?” asked Rustpaw.
“You choose.”
“No, you.”
“Ok, fine. Hmm…” Leaftail’s voice trailed off, lost in thought. Then she exclaimed, “Blueriver!”
“Blueriver! Yes, I really like that name. And it matches me too,” کہا Blueriver happily, looking down at his body.
“Yes, yes it does.”
Leaftail and Blueriver waited until midnight to continue moving. They slept during the day, and traveled at night. That way most of the other Pokémon would be sleeping. It was midnight, and light footsteps penetrated the peace and quiet of the forest.
Something sharp hit the سب, سب سے اوپر of Leaftail’s head. Leaftail reacted quickly; she threw Frostshard to the side and then rolled over. Once she had rolled all the way, the enemy was thrown off and was lying اگلے to Leaftail. Leaftail looked at her attacker, and Rustpaw was doing the same.
Suddenly Leaftail exclaimed, “Mother?!”
Sure enough, Leaftail’s step mom was on the ground.
“Leaftail,” she murmured, “prepare yourself.”
As if on cue, Absol, Plusle, Minun, and Blueriver’s parents jumped out of the tall undergrowth.
“I see Rustpaw has evolved, into, into, a Vaporeon,” The Umbreon pronounced the word ‘Vaporeon’ in a mocking tone.
“My name is Blueriver now!” yowled Blueriver, and then he lunged at his mother. Soon Blueriver and his parents were locked in an on-going tussle.
Plusle and Minun jumped on the sharp blade on Absol’s head. Absol then swung it, throwing Plusle and Minun in Leaftail’s direction. Plusle and Minun were sparked up and Leaftail was about to take a serious electrifying. But then she swiftly moved to the side and the Plusle and Minun both slammed into a tree, left with their ears bleeding. Absol yowled and he charged towards the Plusle and Minun. Leaftail had no idea what was happening until… Bam! Absol turned when he was right اگلے to Leaftail and slammed into her side. Dazed, Leaftail saw a blurry image of Absol picking up Frostshard. At that moment, Leaftail got to her feet and tackled Absol. He was flown backwards and then Leaftail slashed his black nose. Absol shrieked in pain and then slashed at Leaftail, only to hit thin air. Leaftail skipped backwards. Then Absol got to his feet and jumped onto the Leaftail, and soon she was pinned to the ground. Leaftail naturally rolled over onto her side. Absol and Leaftail were locked in a tussle.
Leaftail tried to nip at Absol’s paw, but he swung it backwards and then lunged it up again, creating a vertical cut across Leaftail’s face. The pain overwhelmed Lefatil and her vision was clouded with red blood. Leaftail randomly swung her teeth forward, and her teeth caught on flesh. She bit harder. Absol seemed to lose breath. He ripped away, scurrying into the bushes, lost skin out of his neck still caught in Leaftail’s jaw. Leaftail blinked the blood out of her eyes and tried to ignore the pain. She then ran over to the Plusle and Minun, giving them a Leaf Blade that sent them running. Blood kept selling in her eyes and it was annoying. She ran over to help Blueriver. He was losing, many short gashes lined along his flank. Leaftail leapt into battle, tackling the Umbreon. She shot a Bullet Seed into her stomach then scratched her neck. It was easy, since Umbreon was on the ground and she was already weakened. Coughing up red liquid, the Umbreon fled. A lot of yelping hinted that Blueriver had sent the Flareon running. Leaftail glanced at Blueriver for a second, and she was right. Then her eye vision got blurry, and مزید blood welled out of the long wound on her face, turning her cream فر, سمور a dark red. She collapsed, and the last thing she saw was Blueriver running toward her.
