A spin-off of Grey's Anatomy, the series takes place at Seaside Wellness (formerly Oceanside Health & Wellness Group) and chronicles the life of Dr. Addison Montgomery, played by Kate Walsh, as she leaves Seattle Grace Hospital in order to join a private practice, in Los Angeles. Private Practice also revolves around the Addisons co-workers at Seaside Wellness, formally Oceanside Wellness, and how they deal with patients, and the practice while still finding time to live their everyday lives.

I had seen a random episode here and there throughout the first 4 seasons and then just decided to start watching regularly at the beginning of S5. I also started watching it from the beginning on Netflix and got all caught up. I missed a little bit of this last season, S6, but I'll watch them on Netflix once the last season is put up. I saw the first 3 episodes for sure, maybe 4 & then i watched the series finale.

This show really is great. I think you should definitely check it out if you don't already watch it! It's probably best if you watch Grey's Anatomy as well, but i don't think it's necessary. There are a few crossover episodes, episodes where the storyline either starts on Grey's and continues/finishes on Private Practice, or vice-versa- starts on PP and continues/finishes on Grey's.
