Androgyny has to do with gender identity, while intersexuality has to do with sexual identity.
Let me explain - A person who is androgynous does not identify with one gender یا the other, even though they may have either male یا female sex organs. That is to say, biological men and women might identify as androgynous if they do not identify with the gender identity of their biological sex, یا with the gender identity of the opposite sex. Or, they identify with both. This is what would set the androgynous apart from the transgendered, who identify with the gender identity of the opposite sex.
Someone who is intersex generally is biologically both male and female. An intersex person tends to have partial یا complete sex organs for both sexes.
That being said, some intersex individuals are also androgynous.
