A Strange Way to Fall in Love Chapter Sixteen
"What," I asked stunned, "you're joking right?!"
"No Kyle, I am not joking," Horatio said.
"How is this even possible," I asked confused.
"I met your mother one time when I was an undercover deceptive.
"Oh but, why are آپ telling me now? After are these years why now," I asked as I sat down.
"I have been wanting to tell آپ for years now," Horatio stated, "but, I never had the guts to tell you."
"Oh," I said.
"Do آپ have a place to stay since آپ just got back," he asked.
"Sort of sir," I said.
"Would آپ like to stay at the house with Lola and I," he asked, "you don't have too!"
"I staying with a friend so, I don't know," I said, "but, I should go."
"Okay Kyle! Don't be a stranger," Horatio said.
"Bye," I laughed.
I could not believe it. Horatio Caine was my father. It was kind of weird. I mean why would he tell me now if he had not told me in years? Of course he explained why; but I still did not understand.
I took a cab to Mark's parents house and was surprised to see the house decorated in red, white, and blue. They were having a welcome ہوم party for Mark and I. Before I could get to the door, his parents and siblings were outside hugging me. It was a very touching moment in my life. I had never felt so loved before.
Mark and Melody came outside laughing and holding hands. I was jealous of Mark. I wanted what he had.
"Kyle," Melody smiled, "it is good to have آپ home!"
"It is great to be back," I said.
"What took آپ so long to get back," Mark asked curiously.
"Horatio had some stuff to tell me," I shrugged.
"Oh okay, sure did take a long time," he said.
"I know, I am sorry," I said, "I did not know it was going to take that long!"
"What was it about," Melody asked.
"He told me that he is father," I said, "then proceeded to tell me that if I needed a place to stay, I could stay with him."
"Well, what did آپ tell him," Mark asked.
"I told him I would think about it," I said.
"Really," Melody asked, "now that I think about, it would be odd to stay with someone I have not seen in years and they tell me I am their kid!"
"I know, it is very weird," I said, "but, lets go in and have a good time!"
"Lets go," Mark کہا as he wrapped his arm around Melody.
I want that so badly. I want to find a girl who will love me and laugh at my jokes. I want a best friend to talk to and a girl who will come to me when she is happy یا is having a hard time. I want a wife to love and at the end of the دن to go ہوم to!

"I am going to go say to Lola," I said, "anyone want to come?!"
"I will; I want to see this Lola girl that آپ are in love with," Melody said.
If Melody was coming the whole crew was coming.
"Hey Lola," I said, "I did not know آپ could surf!"
"Hey Kyle," she said, "yep, barely. Thank Nick for letting me borrow your board!"
"No problem," the guy said.
"Lola, this is my fiancée, Melody," Mark کہا enthusiastic.

"He is so excited to introduce Melody, he forgot his own parents," Mrs. بلانک said, "I am Mark's mother and this is his father!"
"Sorry mom," Mark laughed.
"It's nice to meet آپ two," she said, "so what brought آپ all down to the beach?"
"Mark and Kyle wanted to see an American sunset," Melody کہا smiling.
"It is a good place to watch it," Lola said, "it is going to be a beautiful one, as always!"
"I know," Mrs. بلانک agreed.
"If آپ all don't mind I was to talk to Lola alone for a minute," I said.
"Uh oh," Mark teased.
"What's up," Lola asked curiously.
"Did آپ know Horatio was my father," I asked.
"No of course not! Are آپ joking," she asked stunned.
"I am not! I was up at his office today to see him and thank him for helping me get into the army," I said, "I was leaving with Mark but I forgot my bag so I went back and then he told me!"
"I cannot believe that! That is great Kyle," Lola کہا excitingly, "you have family!"
"I do and I am not sure how I feel about it," I said.
"Why," she asked confused.
"Because he just now told me after years of knowing me," I said, "it makes me a little angry at him."
"Well, آپ have a right to be," she shrugged, "if someone did that to me, I would be rather happy. I would love to know my father!"
"But آپ have your family that adopted you," I stated.

"Is something wrong," I asked curiously.
I was hoping she would stop lying to me. It kind of hurt my feelings.
"Yeah, I am really sorry but, I lied to آپ earlier today," she said, "I am so sorry! After آپ telling me about everything آپ have done and how successful آپ have been, I just wanted to tell آپ how much success I have been. When truly, I have not."
"I know Lola," I said, "I am very sorry! Horatio told me everything! If آپ need someone to talk to, I am here!"
"Oh, thanks Kyle," she said.
"Well, I better go watch the subset with Mark's family," I said, "see آپ around!"
"You too, bye," she waved.
"So, what'd آپ say to her," Mark asked curious.
"Honey, that is being nosy," Melody said, "but, آپ know us and we are practically family. So, it is alright to tell us!"
Everyone started laughing.
"I just told her what Horatio کہا and of she new," I stated, "then she told me that she had been lying to me!"
"Oh good, I was hoping آپ two would clear that up," Mark said.
"I know, me too," I said.
"Oh the sun is so pretty," Mrs. بلانک کہا in awe.
It was a very pretty sunset but it felt like it was missing something. My other half. Everyone that I was watching the sunset with had a spouse except for me. But it was still a pretty sunset!
