LOS ANGELES — Over fifty years after Marilyn Monroe’s untimely and unfortunate death, she still captivates the hearts of many, including Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Michelle Shocked, who has penned an as-yet-unrecorded song, “I Will Be Loved”, inspired سے طرف کی a portrait سے طرف کی fine-art painter David Willardson, who has captured the pop شبیہ in a striking painting. “I always knew I would be beautiful if I were loved”, sings Shocked from the Marilyn-inspired song, “and I will be loved”.

David Willardson and Michelle Shocked have created a collection of works, titled “Indelible Women,” in which Willardson paints portraits of famous female کلچر پاپ شبیہیں from the past century and Michelle brings the تصاویر to life with her poetry through songs written about each painting.
