Michael didn't feel the need to discuss his relationship with Maris for the reason he felt that it wasn't the appropriate at the present time, so he decided to wait until he got back from Paris. While Maris was upstairs sleeping, Michael went to his private recording studio to work on some unfinished tracks, which he'd been working on for quite some time.
